Anyone have this issue? Its just one rear wheel, car has just over 200 miles on it, mostly highway miles, and I haven't hit anything. Let me see if I can get a pic to load from my phone.

mine also got a chip, as soon as I brought it home, same thing didnt run into anything, a clean break about the size of a finger nail. Does anyone know if there is any warranty on the wheel itself?

That damage is definately from a stone or rock hitting your wheels.

After messing with it some more I can definitely tell something hit it now. Just shocked it happened just after 200 miles lolol

All you can do now is purchase some black paint and touch up the chips to make it less noticeable.

Lucky for you, just about any shade of black will work.

I take it you didn't get "wheel and tire" package? with 200 miles you may be able to go back to the dealer and get a replacement wheel..

wheel and tire cost me $280 and will cover literally the wheels and tires under curb rash nails etc.... normally i wouldn't go for it but then i looked up the factory ford cost of one of these wheels and they were 4 digits...

Good luck man, that wheel should be more resilient than that! i would try to talk to the dealer for sure

Be very careful, the "tirecare" or wheel and tire package and you call it does NOT cover cosmetic damage to the rim finish. It specifically disclaims cosmetic damage (even in the retail brochure), and good luck proving the paint just fell off like many other issues people have with their cars and dealership.

Read the fine print very carefully that the brochure doesn't disclose. They also claim oh pop a tire we'll replace it; well no, they will patch it first if it is able to be patched. I would rather spend the $200 then have a patched performance tires personally.

I fell for it too and got a refund (in full until the first 60 days and then prorated); well besides the point I sold my OEM wheels/tires so didn't need it anymore.

Anyone have any pictures of it after the touch up paint? If so please post what exact touch up paint you used. Thanks!

Mine chipped off a #2 pencil eraser size circle while washing with a microfiber and a garden hose at less than 1,000 miles. They're crap.
