Ok, bear with me, up late and didn’t read all 161 pages..lol
I Have a 2015

So to swap on a 18’ manifold, I’d need the IM, And Air box stuff , and 18+ TB

Anything else, is tube needed?

I have a GT350 TB sitting here that I can’t sell..lol..so thinking about the IM swap and using the TB I said, or will there be problems?

Or easiest to just get a 18+ TB ?
I happen to know a guy who will be posting up a brand new in box 18 mani heavily discounted off retail. They just need to get off their ass and put up pics etc

I'd also get the 18+ air box. Its a great improvement over the 15-17 unit.

Thanks fellas, just sold the 350 TB today anyways.

So how much Power are we actually talking?

for just a strait manifold swap from a stock 15’ , stick car with nothing other then a borla “S”... 3” catback to a 18’ manifold and no other mods?

You only need an IM. And then decide if you wanna lockout the IMRC's or not.

Air Box and Throttle Body can be left OEM. TB in 15-17 is the same as 18+. Replacing airbox will give you no gains.

Perhaps consider upgrading injectors at the same time, as you are doing the work around the engine bay. Look at 47lb Ford Performance injectors.

It is the same size but they are not interchangeable. The 18+ is digital and the 17 down is analog.

The way it's used on the GT350 and Bullitt (because of manual only) is to feed the IMRC solenoids. The aspirator gets pre and post throttle vacuum for that usage. Brake booster is fed straight from the manifold.

For the GT and Mach 1 it's different because they're offered with the automatic, which requires more and more consistent vacuum to hold brake torque against the transmission in D at stop lights, without necessitating extra pedal efforts. Used on the manual it should have the advantage of more consistent vacuum during autocross and maybe track usage.

I know this is an old post but I hope you can help me.

I'm getting ready to install an ESS blower on my Bullitt. Since I will be losing the hose on the right (1) that goes to the TB inlet hose can I remove this aspirator, cap off one of the hoses at the intake (left side) and use the other for a boost/vacuum reference or even maybe a vacuum manifold? There's a large port (3) and a smaller port (2) does it matter which I use for the reference connection?

I’m about to swap my '17 mani with '18 mani but want to know the following, Am I going to avoid the headache of relocating them hose if I just use the 2018 break booster hose assembly?

Anyone know if I can reuse the throttle body gasket from my stock ‘16 mani in my 18+ mani? The 2020 mani I ordered doesn’t have the green throttle body gasket, so I either need to get them to send me one (thought it’d be included) or just reuse the existing one on the stock mani I’m about to remove

As long as it is not damaged it will work. Put a light coat of lube on it

Is there some sort of trick to remove the bottom 2 white Imrc plugs from the stock manifold? I removed the electrical tape that was on there and pulled back the clip on the plug but I cannot pull the fkn thing off, pulling hard and just doesn’t budge

every video I watch just glosses over it or just pulls it out with ease so I must be missing something

Here's a snipit from my notes when I did it a few years back:

"Still at the back, disconnect the 2 white IMRC connectors. Suggest you use a mirror tool to see the back side as there’s a red clip you need to push down similar to the step 9 one first before squeezing and pulling off."

Step 9: "
  • Unclip the electrical connector with the red clip at the left bottom of the TB by first pulling the red clip out with your finger nail or a screwdriver and then grabbing the bottom and popping it off. Don’t pull from the wires as it’s not that little top section that removes. You may need to wiggle the end of a screwdriver at the end to work it loose.

Alright finally got those cunt plugs off and put the new manifold (and injectors) in, I’m doing Imrc lockouts for reference, but the red circle in the first pic I just want to be positive I cap off (and also the rest of routing looks correct)

IMG_3443.jpeg

it was connected to the red nipple on my stock manifold, see below
IMG_3447.jpeg

and here’s a colour coded pic of my current hosing routing
IMG_3446.jpeg

sound tube is capped off since it’s removed

I followed a YouTube vid for an imrc lockout Manifold install from auto mafia racing, and it looks like he caps it off, but I just want to be 100% certain before I start the car lol (and I need to buy a vacuum cap)

also, I definitely don’t need to cap off the nipple between red and blue at the front of the mani do I? The rear isn’t capped off and imrcs are locked remember

It should still work but the aspirator assembly that you don't have would have a hose running to that CAI port you are capping. Also, your yellow and blue mark up should be switched according to VMP's diagram.
