Does anyone know what is stopping the GT350 from running a 17" rim?

If it’s just the caliper I’m going to downgrade to gt parts for nowIIRC, you are making your car into a drag car. If that is the case, there is options out there. Hell I think you posted a video of a 350 with "drag pack" brakes (I don't know the technical term, but it's clear they are for drag cars, not street use). You might check there and see if you can get a response on what he/she is running.
Unrelated, a friend sent me this video last night. And I have to say, it sounds fantastic. 9000 rpms.
That’s what I was thing I just wanted to confirm before I didn’t anything to the carthe brake disk / callipers ? Not a GT350 owner but even stock GT brakes a somewhat large
I'm not trying to be rude here but reading is key it was say what its's going to be used for by another memberWhat's the point?
Reading is key, yes. But typing is also key. Where exactly did you type that?I'm not trying to be rude here but reading is key it was say what its's going to be used for by another member
and its so i can fit a bias ply drag slick on the back of the car.

Look at this "upgrade" kit from Ford Performance: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-2300-YIf it’s just the caliper I’m going to downgrade to gt parts for now
thank you i was looking at that a few days ago It shouldnt be that had it just needs a bunch of gt partsLook at this "upgrade" kit from Ford Performance: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-2300-Y
To get a 17" rim on the rear of a GT350, you need to gather up all the parts for the non-GT350 rear brakes and suspension components that this kit replaces - calipers, rotors, hand-brake cables, control arms, half-shafts - and install them on a GT350.
I'm speculating on this, but the rear brake assembly is different on the GT350. Going back to my post about the brake upgrade kits, the kit provides new rear knuckles to enable GT350 brakes on the GT/Ecoboost. That would suggest that the brackets and mounting holes to used to attach the brake components will be in different locations on the two different knuckles. That, if correct, would mean that if you want to mount the brakes from a GT/Ecoboost, you'll need the GT/Ecoboost knuckle like the one in the kit. The one in the kit also has stiffer bushings in it - the GT350 came with those from the factory but the GT's didn't.So I did some digging on performanceparts.ford.com sell's a Mustang IRS knuckle kit with toe bearing, but it says it does not fit the GT350 but cant find out whats stopping it any ideas?
