Hey guys, just wanted to share some results on a used Paxton kit I picked up. I picked up the kit about two months ago and have since added the fore system, among other things.

The mods are listed in my signature.

The difference between the first pull and second pull was going from a 3.8 to a 3.6 + leaving the filter off. Crazy to think that added 75 hp!

Numbers are:
w/3.8 654/498 @ 7200/6500 with 10 psi
w/3.6 729/539 @ 7400/6500 with 13 psi

I think my tune is a little on the safer side, but I’m still happy with the numbers nonetheless. I’ll need to check the log to see what kind of timing it was getting.

Things that surprised me was the fact that the limiter seemed to be set at 7500 (I thought it would be higher), and that I saw 13 psi (expected like 11). Hopefully those are not huge concerns.

I’ll probably pulley down once more to the 3.48. If I can hit 800 or get close to it, I’ll be a happy camper.

Nice work! Car should be real fast. Figure I'll give you props before the turbo guys come in and and explain why turbos are better. LOL

E85 is just not about making more power even though it will, but mainly about being safe and not having detonation.

13 pounds seems to be getting up there. If I pulley down once more, should I consider a wastegate? I'm trying to make as much power as I can without stressing the motor and blower too much, so I'm even hesitant to pulley down again.

I'm not sure what the safe limit for boost is on the Paxton setups.

3.3 pulley is kinda the limit. Belt start slipping. Time to trade Paxton headunit in on Vortech unit that the next size up. They will give you credit if you send your current unit in.

I just made 12.5 lbs @7,500 on stage 2 P1X with the biggest pulley that will fit 4.88. Was hoping to be a little less than that on that pulley, on our crap 91 that's a bit much imo, and timing showed. Come spring time will be E85 and turn up the boost a little. As far as wastegate it won't solve your concern other than limiting top end boost, but gaining a small amount lower in the powerband. Plenty of guys run 14-15 lbs on E85 with the extra heat protection.
