My owner's manual has probably been stuffed somewhere by my wife so I have an issue maybe someone can answer for me.
My cluster numbers and markings are gray with power off and with power on the numbers and markings light up white with the headlights off. With headlights on they change to selected my color setting. The problem I'm having is during daytime driving in low light situations like close to evening or driving through a wooded area on a cloudy day while headlights are off my white lit areas go very dim making it hard to see. Once I come out of a wooded area in a few hundred yards it gets bright again.
I guess the question is...is there a sensitivity setting for this or should they not go dim at all? I was thinking maybe they go dim to tell you it's time to get the lights on. When I set the headlights to auto setting the headlights come on at a point where I think it's not quite dark enough for them to turn on. Or, maybe I have a malfunctioning cluster or light sensor.
