Putting a fuel system in the car and moving to e85. Currently on 93 with the 3.875 pulley ~11psi and right at 700 to the tire with my stage 2 kit. I know there are gains to be had just by making the fuel change. I'd like to take advantage of some holiday sales and buy the right pulley (chart below, I'm on the stock balancer) to get me around 800ish. I rather not trial and error with pricey pulleys or way overshoot 800. :)

Did some searching and found some older threads of guys running the 2.9 blower or 18+ cars running the gen 5. Didn't see many posts on 15-17 cars with the 3.0 blower and how they got to 800. I'm thinking the 3.625 pulley should do it, but wanted to see what others have had luck with. Bonus would be if I could trap close to 145mph at the track and beat my buddies 03 Cobra, 😁 but 800 might not be enough with this heavy car for that.

My money is on 3.5". If you overshoot it on E85, you can always back it down, but it should be very safe nonetheless around 14lbs.

overshoot with boost and pull a degree or 2 of timing on e85 if needed to limit. Just different way to dial in cyl pressure. At the end of the day, that's what we are chasing.

Appreciate the info fellas! I plan to keep it 6 rib for now, so would pickup one of those griptech pulleys. Great point about pulling timing if needed, did not think of that.

Regarding spark plugs, currently running NGK 6510s gapped at .028. Any reason to change them or tighten the gap for 14psi?

On a 3.5 Griptec Pulley with a Gen 3 whipple I saw 14psi and made 750 wheel on a mustang dyno. So you should be around 800 if its a dynojet.

6510s will be fine at that level. Someone smarter than me can jump in as to gap, but ask your tuner.

On my 15, with a gen 2 stage 2 whipple I am making 820whp on E85 with a 3.625 pulley. I would think on the gen 5 blower, a 3.75 would be more than enough to get you to 800whp on E85

On E, 3.5 pulley should get you there. Get a griptec as stated above.

You're going to be north of 800 on that pulley on E. I would bet north of 850 on that pulley if you run it out to 7700 or more.

North of 850 on just 14psi!? Wengerd is my tuner and was on board with 14psi to be around 800. Might be a one and done hero pull on the dyno if it way over shoots it! I rather not kill this thing in short order... I shift at like 7800 when at the track. The whipple just keeps making power. :)

He certainly knows more than I do so go with what he is telling you, but same pulley on 93 to going to ethanol should net you 100hp I would think. With you dropping down 3 pulley sizes, I would think it's going to net more than 100 hp. On E, you won't kill it. The Coyote is a very stout platform. The only thing you really need to worry about, engine wise, is the top ring gap and ring land, but with ethanol, the combustion event happens at a much cooler temperature. So it is much more forgiving on the top ring gap.

I'm assuming it would survive a dyno pull if it way over shoots 800. I guess good thing pulley and belt changes are easy!

If everything is healthy enough to survive 700whp on 93, it'll take what you are going to give it on ethanol with Wengerd tuning it. I am excited to see what it does.
