I tried to keep it a secret, because im selfish. I wanted to be the fastest, well "want" to be fastest

But there's no reason not to share the info. I had not planned on swapping intakes. I mean, if it aint broke dont fix it. However, no one had any data of the 1320 intake, nor the 1320 stage 3 port. So i headed to a dyno and started swapping parts with no tune changes.

A week earlier, jason posted an astonishing 47rwhp over stock intake system he tested on a local car.. No way, unbelievable right.. well.. I did not gain 47RWHP. Let me say that again. I did not gain 47hp

I gained 9, thats it, just 9 RWHP..

9rwhp OVER my previous CAI. WHATTTTT!? The other brand i had claims 40rwhp (now).
Ok, thats not what i saw, more like 30rwhp but still, to gain 9 over that!!

Yea, im in. So from here out, 1320Junkie it is for me

Ive tested the car every where i possibly can. This thing is the real deal. I like having no heat shield, it allows more air movement in the real world.

Sure its not as smooth "looking" but its a performer. It doesnt U-turn, there are no reductions, no "air humps" for clearance issues. It will fit EVERY aftermarket TB on the market. I want the best parts, and Ill run whats the best until something else is available. Right now, for Intakes.. 1320 takes it

So is the elbow silicone rubber, plastic.....what? And what is the straight section of tube constructed of? Is it indeed fiber?

I have one on the way painted in twister orange. But there is no denying bigger is always better. It is common sense this gulps the air and no need to fear any heat soaking as this car has crazy air flowing through the front nose. Plenty of tests have been done with this intake already including real world driving at all types, cruising, high way pulls and dyno runs.

Did you order it over the phone or do you have a link for the CAI in Twister Orange from 1320? JLT will be out soon with there's and we know its $399, but no paint options at all. I want to see what makes more sense based on price, performance and looks. Thanks.

Definitely interested but waiting to see what Steve's final determination is but I don't see where it mentions paint options although it's considerably cheaper. Perhaps you have to talk to a yuman bean to get the paint.

I will be the first to get a painted intake, it is prepped and will be complete toward the end of the week

for me its performance #1. Form follows function. I can tell you shorter radius turns, larger diameter all the way through, etc. I mean the guy is skilled enough to rework the blowers, intake is no problem.
Price and looks? me, if it cost more but performs better, its worth it. costs more and doesnt perform better.. why buy it lol. Looks, im not a car show guy. In fact, people see that, they know im a driver and not a hard parker :)

i saw the gains on a dyno, in which some complain about a heat shield.. ( which i never had on old setup either btw) and then the gains on the road..

There's a color dropdown option. You note the color you want in the order comments. I am so torn between this and the JLT. I like that this one is color matched, but don't like the design otherwise. I am a visual guy, as well as want the best performance numbers. I definitely trust Steve's judgement when it comes to performance numbers. So torn. lol

Chill: Lord knows I'm into "looks," <smiling> but were I you, I would go with the one with the best performance. That hood will be closed 98 percent of the time, right? :-)
