You were really pulling on those other Mustangs. Do you think the headers account for that big of a difference?

Love all of your vids man gives me a great idea on how to launch this thing correctly on street tires. 1.8 60 ft on street tires is Frick in good! Keep the vids coming. Your just cleaning off the tires with a quick spin no burnout correct?
glad you're enjoying the vids, means a lot

yes just a quick dusting

catalytic converters account for the largest power losses on most of today's engine designs

Is that RPM correct?

With the stock IM, TB, and airbox set-up you are taking it to 7500+?

That is crazy?
7600 1st and 2nd, top of third no benefit after 7500

off-camera testing shows top of 4th no benefit after 7100-7200

I added the acceleration gauges to show this. Most people don't understand the gears are multiplying torque. In 2nd at 7600, the wheels are propelling car faster than at 6000 in 3rd despite the engine torque drop.

Good point. Did you see this benefit before the headers as well? Meaning, I don't recall headers on my S197 shifting the powerband up.

yes, the headers barely altered power after 6800 with factory IM, if at all

Good to know. I'm also shocked you're not seeing bad wheel hop. Any in the burnout box? Everyone keeps saying these half shafts will break like twigs on an MT82 car.

I have currently been shifting 7200-7300 on the 1-2 and 2-3.

On the 3-4 I short shift it and gain MPH....but ET doesnt change whether I shift at 6300 or 7500 (or anywhere in between)

I am going to try and make it to OSW this Sunday and I may experiment with slightly higher shifts. I do realize how it all works, I have been dialing in cars based on acceleration rate and gearing for years. I just havent had much success with this car past 7200-7300ish.

Thanks!
