So its the trans fault or failure on part of the third party performance part? Sounds to me like you are blaming the trans for aftermarket performance part failure that isn'tholding up to its claim.

Gotta pack more steels and frictions in at that horsepower... Talked to McLeod about this and those GPZ packs are good till 1000whp and then they can’t hold. They did come out with better frictions (think green) but are track only and haven’t heard how good they are. Best thing to do is add more in, midnight performance had one holding 1400whp built with more steels and frictions...

its on the 3-4 shift and it has also been on the 4-5 shift. yes im gonna complain about it.....you have 6r80's going low 7's (Bret Lasala)....you have Lund going 7's in an s550 with the 6r80 4r200 style, you have only a few raped 18+ going low 8's with 10r80 and guess what they likely have 2-3 Transmissions ready to go in after every outing....the 10r80 is no match for its 6r80 older brother.....some folks like making power and going fast in a full weight street car....im that guy, i dont tow to my local tracks, i have my street legal tires on all 4 corners, i drive 2.5hrs to the track, i run a number and i drive it home with the tunes and A/C on....my car is legal to 8.50, its run a best of 8.85 twice at FL NMRA this year.... so damn right im a little ticked off that it doesnt hold the power or that there are literally no upgrades to put in it that will hold 1000hp.....this 10r80 is as glass a tranny as the mt82 is.....

yes and midnight performance car is a feather weight, again all the cars going fast have no exhaust on them, 200lb or less driver, no cage some of the time, no interior etc etc and its surviving, but is it really?, shops can afford to have a trans or 2 waiting to go in, how many times you think these shops have realistically had to rebuild the trans to go as fast as they are....ill bet it wasnt just once....my car is easily 4250lbs if not more, i only threw maybe 950 possibly 1000 wheel at it on the 8.85 runs....so far IMO the 10r80 is great trans up to 750-800 wheel but its a POS over that....we are 3 years into this trans, I dont think it took from 2011 to 2014 to have a stout 6r80. my 2014 6r80 car with a gen 2 whipple went 8.71 at 159 without breaking a sweat......

$5 says it's 7th gear...
no its not, my car is setup to stay out of 7th and try to cross the line in 6th...7th is known not to hold any power, this in itself is rediculous as it should be the strongest being the 1:1 gear.....

6r80 has lived and been fine in cars making 1300+ wheel because they had parts to hold power to begin with....i made 900-1000 in my old s197's and the stock 6r80 never missed a beat.....this trans for power holding is a complete let down.

Try hitting up Limitless Performance, they have 3 stages of built 10R80s, I believe stage 3 is tested at least at 1300rwhp.
