I’m so torn between what type of blower to buy, I am seriously considering just doing an E85r tune and swapping rear pumpkin to 3.55 for some more snappy feel. Anyone else do this in their 10 speed vert? Might try this until I can make my mind up.

Honestly, skip the mods and go straight for boost! Any boost will be great! Save the money from rear pumpkin swap. You’ll need a tune anyways.

Completely ignore the folks that will question doing it a convertible. They have never actually been in one.

The auto will play nice with any of the blowers out there.

Enjoy!

For the blower, you are going to need a custom tune. Maybe just get a tuning device and you can reconfigure your 10r80 for some major changes to be quite a bit more performance based and then use it for the blower. Two birds in one.

Issue w GT IS lack of snap so sluggish at bottom end unless have MT can drop clutch with ESC on then it intevenes. No ESC it recipe for disaster snap out.

I would get a trans tune first, then 3:55, then an EB HPP with MT or normal EB w Ford Tune wit AT trans tune. These are very snappy at legal speeds but no so aggressive aESC always on or breaking lose constantly.

I love GT high speed snap though.

It does on my HPP which is quicker off the line to 30 /40 than 10R80 GT. In GT should make bigger difference since RPM spool up faster getting into power band sooner.

How rare is the 3.55 in a convertible from the factory?

Most convertibles come with 3.15 gears, but 3.55 is not that uncommon. It doesn't make a lot of difference in a GT, as the 10 speed will adjust. Don't forget the ECU also does torque management. Also don't forget the convertible weighs about 4000 lbs and the Coyote engine is pretty small displacement for an NA engine.

What I am trying to say is a twin screw supercharger and associated tune is the best bet for more low end snap.

10 speed AT is not a variable trans the ratios are fixed will not adjust best to get trans tune so performance like DCT for snappy but still have poor low RPM output with GT.

I have a 2021 convertible. It came with the PP1 package. 3.55 Torsen diff is standard in the PP1 package.

Uhh, my 21' GT/CS has 3.55 gears and weighs 3850 according to the title.
