I mean, a 255 will fit on a 10, but there will be some stretch to the tire.

I don't know why you wouldn't just go like 285/35/19 all around for 19x10" wheels. Why go square setup if you aren't even gonna square the tires? May as well just buy some staggered wheels?

Well I want to do a much wider tire in the back I wasn't sure if a 285 would fit the front with the 10"wheels I don't want to have to use spacers

19x10 +35 offset with 285/35 is the easy button for large square sizing. No spacer required.

The wheels I want have a 45 offset, I tried a wheel on the front tonight, it's a 19Ă—10,it just barely touches the strut, a 1/4 spacer would fix that perfectly, Hub centric of course, what do you think

If it's a et45 offset, a 10mm spacer will do the trick, 1/4" is 7mm and might be cutting it close. I notice AM has several different 19x10 GT500 wheels (different years) and the 2 i checked were both et48, which should use a 13mm spacer. Either way, longer studs and open ended lug nuts will be required. If you're looking for improved handling, keep an eye on the weight. Most AM wheels are cast and some are pretty heavy, add the weight of the spacers and it might add up to a big gain over the stock wheels.

Actually a 1/4space just moves it a quarter away from the strut,I tried them last night, cj pony has gt 500 wheel by vox,it has a 40 mm offset,I'm thinking that might work,AM's offset is 48,and the front stock is usually 35, what do think??

Yes, a 1/4" spacer (~7mm) just moves the wheel a quarter inch away from the strut, no disagreement there. The problem is, a et45 wheel is 10mm closer to the strut than the et35 wheels we usually choose. Is 1/4" enough? Maybe, but the smart money is on just getting a 10mm spacer and knowing it will work. Unless of course, you are trying to stay as close to the strut as you can, though I have no idea why you would.
The Voxx option looks a little better. You'd only need a 5mm spacer (should be ok on stock studs) but at 28.22 lbs you aren't going to reduce Unsprung, rotational mass much, if at all, depending on what wheels you are replacing.

1/4" or 5mm to get back to ET40 is sufficient. There are no hub-centric spacers less than 12mm thick.

More clearance on the fender side. Maybe not as much problem with debris thrown up at your paint by the tires. At autocross, a narrower track width means you can get the CG of the car closer to the cones (slightly faster times in a game where thousandths of a second can and sometimes do matter).
