Went to OSW the other night to test out the new FTI Performance 4000 torque converter. Was pleasantly surprised with a 1.50 then 1.48 sixty foot time.

My car is a 2016 GT base auto with 3.55 gear option.

-2018 intake manifold ported by Bret Barber and additional port work by me.
-95mm ZR1 corvette throttle body
-JLT 120mm CAI
-LTH 2" Longtubes with Roush Catback
-FTI 4000 converter
-PBD E85 tune

-BMR Kmember and bumper bars
-Viking front and rear shocks
-BMR CB010
-TBM heavy duty front drag brakes
-Billet specialties 18"F and 17" rear drag pack (28" tires front and rear)

-Corbeau driver set / rear seat delete

Track was very busy. Only got 2 passes. Shift points were only 7300 and converter was unlocked for the full passes. Plenty left in it, will find time to tweak and improve.

Ruby red 2019 GT Premium.
Good stuff. Let that girl stretch her legs a little more. Turn the rpms up another 2-300 and gain a good 10th more.

Thanks. That's the plan. Next outing I'm hoping to see 7800 rpm shifts and lock the converter in 2nd gear. Should help a bit. I'll post updates on this thread so not to clutter this drag strip section up.

Well done! I didn't realize you could crack 10s on the 2nd gen Coyote w/o FI.

They're about $3500 for my exact set up. Amazing product. Of course they're less if you don't get beadlocks. I plan to go very fast down the road so I opted for them now.

Yessir. Just takes the right combination of the owner/driver, parts and tuning.

Have you weighed the car with the current list of weight reduction?

Have not weighed the car in raceweight trim.

I have weighed the weight savings - which has tallied up to about 300lbs savings.

I weigh 185 with my helmet on. So probably in the 3550 - 3580 range depending on fuel level.

Hows the converter on the street? awesome time for the mods. I have the trap speed but not the 60 foot for 10's. What were your times before the converter?

Also, looks like the 28" racemasters on the front, good choice those are some of the lightest 28 inch frontrunners I think. What rear tires? And I agree that raising your shift point especially with a 6r80 should help.

It drives great. Haven't noticed much difference. Primarily noticeable at hald throttle as it'll slip some.

IMO extremely simple. But I performed the install while replacing the Kmember. The LTH headers are my favorite headers to install. By a mile. Super easy.

If I end up keeping the old girl while adding a new girl I'll probably do headers, injectors, TB and intake. I'd also like to do a stripper day at the strip to see what is possible with some simple wieght reduction.
