It's a long story, but a very expensive set of slicks, welds, and studs.....I was sold some 1/2" studs. Due to a total cluster fuck, the wheels won't work, and I installed the studs. Now the lug nuts are going what looks like over half way down into the taper of the wheel.... They are 1/2" and way f*#@ing smaller than the 14MM. They look like they are just going to split the wheel.

The idea was " a much better selection of studs" so I bought it hook line and sinker. I think they're just gonna ruin wheels.

Thoughts?

1/2” = 13mm, stock is 14mm.
I think you should switch those out for properly sized studs ASAP. Splitting the rim is not what I’d worry about, rather the smaller lug nuts eventually pulling through the larger holes, since they seat deeper on thinner material.
For strength on studs always go the same size with better material (ARP or similar) or thicker studs.

I wouldn’t run those lug nuts, you need a larger seating area and more lug nut material. You might be able to find some larger lug nuts for those studs, idk.
