I'd recommend doing what I did. Look at a dyno chart for your car, put in the calculations for speed, tire diameter, rear gear, and 5th gear (1:1) and see what RPM you're running.

In my car, I'm at a little over 900rwhp and 680rwtq when I cross the traps at 175 mph.

3.31 final gear, 28.7" tire, 1:1 5th gear, ~6800 rpm = 175mph

Traction off the line matters a whole lot less than staying in the power band across the beams. In my experience. I can still do 168mph+ with traction issues through 3rd. The Nittos pretty much negate that issue on a halfway decent surface, though. I had traction except for the last ~300rpm of first and second.

I'm hoping to bring mine down for the next one in Ocala. Best run this year was 143.2mph stock and it's whippled with longtubes now.

i think you will. I did 165 with about 720-740rwhp. I think atleast 800 would be needed for 170 but I could be wrong. weather probably affects this a lot too

I think shift sector has one in Indiana that would be close to you. I can’t imsgine what yours would run! Probably 185-190!
