Ecoboost Noise Dampers

After being under the car for a bit I noticed 4 odd items on the subframe. Two cast black square pieces that bolt into the rear diff cover. And also two silver egg shaped items that bolt to the top of the subframe.

I spoke with Kelly from BMR and the GTs do not have this. Next time I have the car up I'll probably go ahead and remove them and get a weight. Has anyone removed these yet?

My cobra's IRS had a counterweight or something hanging off the diff from the front mounts from the factory with some bushing between it and the subframe and the diff mounting flanges. That thing must have weighed 15 lbs or more. It went away when I installed solid diff mounts.

I wonder if it's something similar. Wonder by only the EB so far seems to have it?

They are out, they weigh 11.8lbs bolts and all.

They come out very easily. Just need a 13mm ratchet

so odd...maybe they are counter weights for the diff? no changes in vibration or noise then hitting bumps?

anyway, I saw in another thread you are getting ready for a track day? How is the build going?

Was it a Performance Pack EcoBoost? If it was maybe thats why and the GT was a standard GT not a PP.. Maybe?

Nope no difference at all.

Very well!

I think I may start a build thread soon, track day is the Sunday and the car is just about ready!

After talking with BMR their standard GT and PP GT both don't have these. Yes my car is a pp EB.

Nevertheless this is an odd part!
