So I took my car out tonight and got it all nice and warmed up everything was moving smoothly so I decided to take it to for a few 0-60 runs. I have not been able to break 5.5 on a single pass. About 5 without launch control 5 with 3k launch control and 5 with 3.4k launch control. Times ranged from 5.5 to 6.7. I feel my shifts are fairly solid but that last 2 to 3 shift seems to just destroy the 0-60 times for the PP's. Anyone with a PP able to break into the 5's or get anywhere close to the 4.4-4.5 that I was kinda expecting. Very bummed right now and was really hoping for some better numbers.:tsk:

My best is 5.3. I don't get it either. My 1/4 mile time was 13.8 which can't be right. I raced 2 mustangs and a camaro as last Saturday night and I beat the camaro, the stock 13 mustang and lost to a 12' mustang with exhaust and a tune by a car or two. I know the car has to be close to the 12's if not in then 12's. The 13' said he runs 13.0 the camaro 13.2 and the 12' with tune and exhaust 12.3's.

I'm wondering if the apps are right or am I that far off?

I've only ever tried the 0-60 app once..got a 5.5..that was stock with just a catback. I've raced my friend who has a stock 2014 with an axleback several times. I can beat him 2 out of 3, and he gets a 4.4 second 0-60.

I have got 4.9 one time, other than that i get 5.2 to 5.3 as the best and thats after reavideo hlly warming the tires up.I wonder how accurate that part of the trac app is also. But also guys keep in mind if its cold out below 45 degrees the p zeros are very hard to get to hook up.I have been doing 1/4 racing since i was 18 and i believe i have ran better than a 4.9 to 60 a couple times.Maybe someone that knows more about the accelerometer can chime In.Another thing guys I think 60 foot times would be a better tool to use to gauge how your quarter mile times could be.

Not a V8 here, but I've gotten a 5.6 on my bone stock Ecoboost (not PP)

Are you spinning a lot off the line? Bogging?

Yea guys that have the pp have a hard time hooking up because of the 373 gear ratio and the Pirelli p zero tires, especially when its cold out.

the tires are very grippy. with the 3.73's I think you have to shift a 3rd time before 60, but still.

plus the OP is in Florida...

Temp was about 67 last night with about 1 hour driving before I tried the pulls. Hooking up was moderate. All pulls got moderate spin but nothing to crazy. Almost every one seemed to be a little boggy off the start. should I be launching at a higher rpm or no? I might give it anther try tonight; any good tips about launching and when I should make that 2-3 shift would be great.

Yes at 3000 and 3400. Not sure If I need to go higher or what but I feel I will get to much wheel spin if I do. Launch Control is that way to go for sure. Was posting 6's without it.

Drag Radials might help with traction issues and getting a more consistent time. One car in this video has them and the other one doesn't

You mean 2 shifts to 60 mph, if you have to shift into 3rd to make it to 60 this will definitely hurt the 0-60 time. However you should be able to hit 62mph with a 6800rpm redline with the 3.73 gears with the tranny ratios of the 6spd. manual with the 5.0L.
