I worked with Brooke yesteday and added 5 years for my Bullitt. 8 years/100K total. Very easy to work with and can give multiple quotes for options like 7 or 8 years at 100K with either $100 or $200 deduct.
I have had the following:
1996 Mustang GT 5 spd manual
2000 Mustang GT 5 spd manual vert
2006 Mustang GT 5 spd manual vert
2019 Mustang Bullitt
While not in the OP, the 2000 had everything but a blower done. This includes long tubes, cams, etc on the engine and a full 2003 Cobra suspension...
Call other Ford dealers in the area and let them know what you need done and that you already had the car checked. My nearest Ford dealer wanted $1100 to fix my daughters 2012 Mustang AC. Ford dealer about 25 miles away did it for $650 out the door.
I picked up mine in November from a non local dealer. MSRP was $51,880 and out the door from the dealer (I paid taxes/registration in my state) was $41,800.
^ the HP numbers for the tuned 2018 do not seem right, very low. There is NO way torque can be higher at 2500 through 3500 rpm for the 2018T compared to the 2017T and the horsepower be lower for the 2018T. It is impossible. Also, from 3500 to 5000 the horsepower numbers seem lower considering...
So I got to drive the 2018 A10 and I must say the car's engine/tranny combo is fantastic. Definitely something I could get used too and live with easily as a daily driver.
The 301A for $27,984 even included the Black Accent Package and for that price a 6 speed manual. I am keeping an open mind on the auto. I'll see what the test drive results in for the auto experience.
I am driving a 2018 GT Auto tomorrow to see what the hype is all about. Maybe it will be more than I am thinking it will be.
As for pricing of new 2018 GTs, you can get a base with 301A for $27,984 with the rebates. Premium GTs are $30,xxx (with no additional add-ons).
Interesting replies for...
E85 isn't abundant here so that isn't in play or in the comparison. The 15-17 would be minimum 1k for tune and IM, so no, it is not "herculian", nor did I say it was. Most of these models have limited warranty remaining or the price is higher. The price of new 18GT are 10K off. Either a GT...
I have concluded a 15-17 is not worth getting, even tuned. The expense to make it a bolt on to get what the 18-19 has is a waste of money. I will drive an auto just to check out the 10 speed, but rowing the gears is part of the fun. Been in a manual for 30+ years,
It did not have the 3.73s but 3.31 to 3.73 isn’t that dramatic. My 2000 went from 3.27 to 3.73 and it was decent. I am looking over some dyno charts from stock 15-17, tuned 15-17, 18-19 and then mine. Based on what I have seen so far, the 2018-19 still have equal or a little more torque...
I had this in the general section, but I think this section may give me more answers.
So I am looking at getting my 4th Mustang. I have had a 96GT, 00GT vert, and presently a 2006GT vert. The current one has a Saleen blower with the Supershaker option with only 7.5#s of boost. I have been...
