    I don't know how often they should be replaced, but don't use after-market ones they don't last long. Get the Ford ones they work best.

    Just stating the facts. But I don't care what your gauge reads when cranking all wet sump oil systems DO NOT have instant oil pressure to all the bearings after sitting. And after an oil change it does take some time to get the oil pump primed again. It's just the facts.

    No it's not. My 351C even with a filled filter takes about 10 seconds to have oil pressure.

    I don't see in the Ford car manual that Ford recommends full synthetic motor oils. They recommend 5W-30 synthetic blend or conventional motor oil.

    It's obvious that the tick is not detrimental to the engine. This has been going on for years and not one has had a catastrophic failure due to the tick that I know of.
