i noticed that when i put the car in reverse and back up then go to drive it is delayed and when i push the gas it revs instead of going into drive after 3 seconds it goes into drive

i work at ford i have a 2020 mustang gt auto worn a roush intake and a roush exhaust stock everything else and i just put in a flex fuel tune. everyone at my work says we can’t run it we need upgraded fuel system and injectors and all that is this true?
