Yes, generally speaking, it's not great. And like I mentioned before, Kooks made a set of true equal length for the S197 CCoyotes but they were a royal pain.
We know. We're discussing the effects equal length would have. The 180 header on that Vette was for what happens when you so get alternating bank firing.
Assuming header tubes are truly equal, the UDUD and UDDU firing pattern won't matter because you're getting fire left, fire right, fire left, fire right, and the sound will smoothen back out. Here's a case in point:
C7 Vette with 180 firing headers. Adjust your ear a bit, since it does have...
Kooks made a set of true equal length long tube headers for 2011 - 2014 cars but they were an install and maintenance NIGHTMARE. The way they routed would prevent you from doing starter swaps, tolerances between the tubes and other parts of the car were scary tight, and the tubes weren't as...
Long tubes indeed do help this engine particularly with scavanging. It's a shame no one can figure out an equal length setup. Doesn't matter THAT much but it would be cool for the intrinsic and intellectual value.
Turbocharging is also the only way to get close to this double the air, double...
Really no point unless you're on track and you're seeing some high temps that could cause some detonation. The computer does have the ability to add timing if it thinks the fuel is fine which I have actually seen before (11 gallons of 100, 5 of 91). But really it's not worth the money.
Or for the money, put a supercharger on your Coyote, have a similar weight penalty, and have 750RWHP all day every day with the potential for even more.
Might as well swap LS7's and save the 100lbs.
And driving many Mustang GT's without MagneRide, I can say with confidence the GT350's normal mode is more road complaint than statically valved shocks and struts on base cars. The 350 is stiffer but it controls everything way better, less bounce and "yumping" (if that's a word...and if it is...
If you try to drive your GT350 to work it will immediately shut down and a message from Ford Pass on your infotainment will come on and announce great new deals on a brand new Mustang GT with base suspension and a plush leather interior from 401A Spec.
Eh...
I ran 71Rs on the street for a small time once and they were fine as in it's not like they felt dangerous but there's better options. I think for a strictly street tire, the Conti ContactSport is probably the best overall in terms of price and performance without feeling like a compromise...
Based on the sizes available it's definitely an autocross focused tire. 315/30-18 is run by every Catfish and C5 Corvette from here to the moon. And they fvck CAM and B Street hard. Like bent over by a Louisville slugger hard.
I read the first few pages and seriously OP you need to fvcking relax and grow up. It'll get fix and enjoy it. Life isn't perfect. Having expectations is fine and more than reasonable but since when has life ever gone perfect, especially during these times...
