Oh I agree, and I understand what you are saying. I'd make the same trade off for my own car as well. It's all about trade offs really. There's lots of good reasons to keep the factory setup on a street car, noise, smell, EPA, cost etc. If you are looking to increase the performance of your...
really think some times people get to hung up on peak gains a mod makes. Average it out over the entire curve, or area of intended usage to see if it's worth while.
Almost done. Had to order a couple of fittings so I could get the last couple of fuel lines run the way I wanted. The passenger side rail, there isn't a lot of room near the heater hose so just trying to work around that. It will be another 6 weeks before the car is on the road, supposed to get...
Saw them in Toronto in Nov. 2019 just before covid. First time seeing them live and they put on a great show. Tried getting tickets to see them when they were in Buffalo a few months later but that's when things got shut down. I'll definitely see them again if I can.
Most of my data from the previous summer is here in this thread in terms of the pullies and fuel setups I used with my G2. If you are looking for something specific though, let me know and I'll try and help with what I have learned. My car wasn't really setup for drag racing but still managed a...
I just converted my 5.94 60-130 to 100km-200km and it came out to 5.12 seconds. I ran a 10.04@142 1/4 at St. Thomas when i logged that run back in September. Little sketchy to be trying those runs at the moment...maybe on studded ET Street snows?
I've decided to run my fuel lines a little differently since I'm doing a full fuel system and have everything apart at the moment. I'm going to run my lines similar to the Lethal Level1 setup with the single regulator. This will feed the HPFP first and independently of the rails.
If I was going to change the intake on mine, I'd go the Boss route. The other advantage it would have over the gt350 intake is if you want nitrous or Methanol down the road, you can plum a direct port setup to the runners under the manifold. You could do the same with the 18+ or gt350 I suppose...
This past weekend I was chatting with some friends about work. One of them is considering relocating to take a new job that will pay roughly the same as his current job, but taxes are less then where we are now. He seems to think it is going to work out well for him, but I suspect the grass...
300A car here. Only 2 options it has is the Automatic and Black appearance package. The only option I kind of wish it had is the digital dash. I bought it this way mainly for the reasons shogun32 outlined. I wanted the lightest platform to start with and I knew I'd be modifying the car.
If anyone is looking for an affordable set of fuel rails, take a look at the Boomba Racing kit. Its on sale at the moment for $175. For the 18+ cars, you need to order an additional 8an ORB to 3/8" adapter for either the feed from the tank or the High Pressure connection as well as an adapter to...
If you want something that works well and not have to piece everything together, the Ford Performance Track kit might be the way to go. I had it on my car last year, and I went with it for many of the same reasons you have outlined. I found it very compliant in day to day driving, yet it drove...
It put down 685hp with the 115mm pulley on 93 when I first got it running. It was making more than that at the end of summer but just how much, I'm not sure.
