Not sure, I can't hear anything at the moment. Currently live downtown so with all the noise everywhere it makes it a little harder. Will try to listen for a vacuum leak tomorrow when I am out of the city. Think I would hear an exhaust leak, but will listen for that as well.
Just sent my...
Rookie question Monday:
I just noticed this today, never felt or saw it before today. When I cold started started my car it went to the normal cold-start rpm's, then jumped to probably 1,600 or so and sounded like it was under load for about 2 seconds. When it jumped up, I heard a distinct...
I can either pick mine up at the meet on the 17th, or we can meet up and get them earlier if that's ok with you? I'm not too concerned about the bulge under the "o".
EDIT: Sorry if I just called everyone out again by re-quoting that!
The Solo exhaust systems start right after the catalytic converters. Any exhaust system that says "cat back" will not replace your cats, so really no issues there. Axleback systems basically only replace your mufflers and a small section of stock exhaust piping, which is even less than the cat...
Anything behind the cats is pretty safe to replace. They hardly change anything but the sound, so there isn't much to worry about. If you replace the cats (headers/cat delete), you will run into pushback if you're making a significant warranty claim.
This screams rich to you? Stock usually runs about 14.5, right under stoich... My non-flex tune runs about 13.7-14.3, I wouldn't call that rich for me. I could be wrong though, I don't tune cars
Judging from the description saying "only fits with MRT catback", and giving no information of the inlet and outlet sizes, can't say whether it can be dropped in place of the stock resonator. It does interest me though, I'd like to hear how a catback with headers sounds with this in there.
I just purchased a set of Continental ExtremeContact DW's. Still waiting on them, but even here in Texas the stock pirelli's are terrible. 55*F out and the car will not get traction at all until 3rd gear.
How is the ride with these? Any harsher than the PP springs? Car looks fantastic by the way!! Have the same setup but without the splitter and springs, me like.
Yes I removed it while the headers were on. Pain in the ass to get to it. Haven't dyno'd since removal though, feels much smoother through the power band though.
I've got pypes headers installed. My dyno numbers were low (405whp w/ lund tune) because the A/C line bolt was hitting the primary on the passenger side. Thinking I might be getting a dyno tune soon though.
Don't spend your money on this until you are ready to make it a tracking car or canyon carver. Buy a set of long tubes and get it tuned, it'll give you what you're looking for as well as a nice awesome sound boost.
