I meant are you seeing the knock sensors pulling timing because of it? You would need to be datalogging to know. The sensors detect vibration and pull timing, it could be costing you some power.

Are you seeing false knock as a result of it?

You have a gen 3 car, a bigger blower, smaller pulley, and more gears but it’s possible his knock issue is pulling a lot of timing too

It won’t, especially from that low of an RPM to start the pull

Like mentioned above, this step is for troubleshooting the knock. You wont need to run it all of the time unless you have absolutely horrible gas near you but it's a tool for identifying if you have real or false knock. Simply put if the knock is fuel related, it will go away with the octane...
