I think calling it throttle response would be incorrect. I had a 2001 GT 5spd car that I had driven quite hard in stock form and in full bolt on form.

There are various reasons as to why they have the limiter set at where they do. As for getting passed up by a Honda at that speed, it is very unlikely that will ever occur.
While EPA ratings do somewhat interest me, It doesn't really have an impact on my choice of Mustang. I live 7 miles one way from work, MPG isn't of my concern. The EB does intrigue me and I have always been a fan of the SVO 'stangs from the mid 80's but my heart lies with the 5.0L.
