buy a used GT-R, those should be around $60k ish, maybe.
out of all 3 cars you have metioned, the mustang looks the best(15-17, still unsure of the 18's). as far as the performance aspect, the mustang is cheap enough that you can use the $$ you save from buying a mustang over a...
there's been a few cases of this happening. some of the cases were fixed when the dealer replaced the throttle position sensor/throttle body & had the ECU reflashed. there is a revised throttle body that is supposed to fix this problem.
if its a buyback, its probably 1 of those that has drive line vibrations between 50-70 mph. i'd test drive it first. check the forums for drive line vibrations and you'l see why.
technically the car shouldn't be rolling forward when getting into gear as the clutch should be out far enough to not be engaging the flywheel. something like this happened to 1 of my other cars because the slave cylinder wasn't working well.(it was also getting hard to get it into first gear...
it comes with a funnel(located in the trunk) in case you need to use a gas can. but its supposed to be hard to put a hose in there.(like to siphon out fuel)
funny...my car is the opposite, i can hear the trans when its cold but once it warms up it gets quiet..(or i hear the exhaust more?, it does have axle backs)
sounds like the headgaskets are busted or you had head lift. engine would idle funny if u were running low compression on 1 or more cyls, and it'd be blowing both white and blueish smoke if you fried the pistons/rings.
but damn does it sound nice at high rpm.
if you plan on keeping it...buy the ESP warranty. you can buy it from floodfordesp or a few other websites.
if you plan on trading/selling then i wouldn't get it.
you can buy a hail protector car cover which can be found on amazon or ebay. its pretty much a regular cover that has foam inside of it.
or park somewhere covered when you think its gonna hail :)
I went with JLT for my coyote due to easy design. Can drain it easily and also install was easy.
I did just get it about 3 weeks ago so I haven't checked it yet.
i have flowmasters axle backs(altho not sure which model as it came with the car) and it sounds pretty good, barely any drone that i've noticed.
what ive read is if you add a x pipe.....its a whole different story. (but so is any other exhaust)
there's an issue with the throttle position sensor causing the engine to shut off randomly. not sure if it affects 2016's but i do believe it did on 2015's. fix is to update ecm and/or replace the throttle body/throttle position sensor.
i get a 18.x according to the car about 70 miles a week for work city driving +- 10 for other stuff. 15 GT base 3.31 gears. i haven't done a real test though.(probably should)
