I got the TSB fix yesterday morning (new front rotors and pads) and I can't believe how quiet it has been.
I have put over 500 miles on since yesterday morning, and it has been completely silent - even in the situations where it *always* squealed before.
I am still not positive that the...
I have had mine just a little over 4 months (just before Thanksgiving), and turned over 10,000 on it yesterday.
I kept my last Mustang for 9 years and out 190,000 on it, so I am in for the long haul.
I have tried the "bedding" and found it to be a short term fix. I am sitting in the dealer's service department right now, while the TSB is installed.
I turned over 10,000 miles yesterday, and have found the squealing noise to have gotten progressively worse. When it first started, it was...
Driving up the Interstate to a meeting in Seattle. As I come into Olympia, the speed limit drops from 70 to 60 - and right at that spot, there is a State Patrol trooper on the right shoulder with a car pulled over. I check the speed on my GPS - 71, no sweat. I bump the cruise down to 62 and...
I don't have a defined commute, because I work from a home office - but I have put a little over 9,000 miles on it since Thanksgiving, with most of that (95%+) being work miles.
I have had my fun here, and I will move on. But I will answer your question.
You chose to come into this thread and insult me and others like me by describing us as "Prius Drivers", you also assumed the privilege of telling us how *we* should be driving *our* cars. I didn't buy my car to...
This really can't be overstated. If they come in and tell you that they are $200 under x-plan, but they add in $800 in fees.... you aren't better off.
Try to keep your eye on the "out the door" total. I would bet a significant amount of money that the actual final cost for any given deal is...
This.
You should never shift out of first gear until redline, if at all. If your car is capable of going 40 in first, then you should never shift into 2nd when driving around town. That way you can be sure that you are "using the power, you know the whole purpose of getting the big motor"...
So, that car is $34,998 on X-Plan. What are you adding in to get to your "out the door" price?
There is a $500 "Customer Cash" offer, which would knock you down to $34,458, if you could get one of the "brochure coupons", that would knock another $750 off.
Those would get you to $33,748...
The diameter should fit - that tire is about 27.3", or about 1/2" smaller than the stock tire/wheel combo.
I don't know what the depth of the well is, but that tire should be roughly 9.25" at the bulge.
Sounds like it is in the right neighborhood.
Maybe you should hit a bigger rodent? A good sized nutria would take that whole lower part out.....
Sorry, not helpful, I know - I just couldn't help myself!
No, not today. I live outside Vancouver, Wa and split my time between home office, my company's Portland office, and our Bellevue office.
I am usually up there once or twice a week, mostly up where 112th and Hwy 520 meet.
It really seems weird to me. I know that people are buying them, my local dealer has different ones every time I am there, but I am not seeing them on the street.
I am not keeping track on purpose, but since I bought mine at Thanksgiving, I have only seen 5 on the road (not counting mine)...
Can't be the case. There are only two parts on the TSB - Rotors and Pads, and the pads are the OEM part number. if they were changing the size of the rotor, they would at least have to install new caliper mounts, so that the caliper is installed at the correct location. Also, the pads would have...
