Well I went to install the stud crank support and the kinetic stud won’t go into the crank shaft further than an inch. I had access to another coyote crank and the stud goes all the way in without issue. I cleaned up the hole with a wire brush thinking possibly a machining issue to no avail. My...
Like stated earlier, I run a centri with a manual and love it as many others do too. Yes, you will need a fuel system which will be $2000 for a good one. Don’t skimp on the other supporting mods I listed in previous posts within this thread and you will be happy. Either PD, centri or turbos...
I ordered some MMR gears a few months ago and the clearances were pretty large. I returned them for another set and the same issue. I went with the boundry and they were tighter in comparison. They have been fine, without any extra noise.
I agree with Black Dog. Many are fine without opg/cs; however, it is recommended to replace them. Personally, I too like a little safety. Recently I added a crank support and kinetic stud. I put head studs in the same time I did the opg/cs to make it a bit stronger.
I would suggest a P1x stage 2, Fore return, 1050x injectors, opg/cs and ngk 6510s at .026-.028 with a good tune, e.g., Lund or PBD to name a couple.
Nice to have, kinetic crank stud. If you really want a extra measure of safety, get the PC crank support. If so, you will need either a ATI or...
I have zero problems with torque on my procharger setup. Is there a known difference between a PD and centri when is comes to torque, sure; however, many overexaggerate it more times than not. My car has instant power from any sensible rpm range (meaning not loading the motor at low rpms to lug...
I completely disagree with 19bullittwhipple's assessment on false knock, crankshaft snapping and not needing a fuel system. If you get the correct parts including a fuel system, they work fantastic. I run a D1X, Fore Return with supporting mods well into the 900rwhp range without issue. My car...
That depends on how you want to run your car. I simply vent mine to the atmosphere through little filters. At some point, the filters will get a bit dirty or oil soaked, I will then change them out.
Regarding ATI, the problems come from incorrect installation. ATI is fine if installed correctly. There are some good discussions around that topic on this forum.
Yes, I should have mentioned that. Personally, I would be hesitant to run pump gas on anything over 700rwhp on these cars and would feel better at 600rwhp. To be safe, suggest running good e85 (test it) all the time; otherwise, you are asking for trouble over stated power levels. A good fuel...
As you can see everybody has an opinion. Turbos, Centris, PD blowers all work well on this platform. I have a manual with one blower size larger than a P1x and have not had any real issue with false knock. I am also running a relatively small pulley so I am well into the 900 rwhp range. My car...
I agree with LSchicago. I too, run a centri and have more than enough power throughout the rpm range. I have drag radials that will spin at will in 1st and 2nd and in 3rd if I don't allow them to warm up. My car is a street car and have not been to the strip. I am running a D1X with a 4" pulley.
I also removed my cats as I am on a boosted application; however, the car was significantly louder. I have since installed a magnflow resonator that makes the car much more resonable imo. Mind you, I have active exhaust and it was very noisy in both sport and drag mode. I certainly don't need...
I swapped my exhaust the other day and had the same issue. I found the wiring harness going to the actuator was damaged slightly during the install (some of the wires were scraped and exposed tat the connector). I swapped out the 12" harness with a new one (available from Ford). Exhaust works...
