Not technically a hobbs test; however, I have found you can unplug the switch from its connection and short the male plug (the one to the hobbs) across its own leads with a paper clip for example. You should see a slight increase in your fuel pressure at your regulator verifying the second pump...
You really cant go wrong with FI types on these cars. On a 10r80 car, the PC will do just fine just as would the whipple. IMO, you have a installed PC kit already. I would do a fuel system, go e85 and pulley it down. You will notice a significant difference. If you want to spend the money and do...
If you are looking for more power, would suggest going E-85 and pulley your charger down. You will need a return fuel system which is well worth the price of admission. Personally, I would not incur the cost of going to an entirely different FI system when you already have one. Another option...
I am running the D1x based on the feed back from procharger when they built the kit. My goal was 900 whp. Either D1x or P1X in that range should be fine.
Yes, I was thinking 62k from the D1x that’s I’ve been in the middle of installing/tuning. Procharger ran their orange pumpkin car on a p1x to 900+ for a tuning session. There is a YouTube video with the detail.
I am running a similar system; however, running a D1X. If you run a 3.875 pulley, you would max the charger at 7700 rpm. I would pulley accordingly based on your use of the car.
Surprised, yes, thought closer to the 875 range but good to know.
That’s a good reference point. I thought it would closer to 15psi at 7800-8500 rpm.
Good morning- after my initial post, the tuner said the log look perfect. I was surprised to see that high of a boost number based on @80FoxCoupe response. I understand it’s simply an estimate but will most likely stay away from 8000rpm on the regular.
Thank you. It’s my understanding, the factory maf does not read higher than 86.6. At that point it’s maxed. I am glad the trims look good as I want to make sure I am not running out of fuel.
Good afternoon,
I just finished installing the PC stage 2 D1X kit with a 4.25" pulley. Running ID 1050's and a Fore return on e85. How does the fuel look, more specifically, does the Lambse and STFT look appropriate? In addition, I don't have an accurate boost gauge and understand the number is...
Good afternoon,
I just finished installing the power adders in my signature. I turned in my idle log to Lund yesterday as we began the E85 vetting. My pump e85 always tests at e90 in my area. I am running a 4.63” pulley on the D1x. Unfortunately, I don’t have a boost gauge other than the eco...
