  1. Something is wrong here

Agreed, I was honestly hoping the dealership had set a MyKey restriction to 114 which makes no sense but would have been easy to fix, my luck just ain't that good but this is the next best thing and could explain an issue I ran into running against a 2010 Camaro where TC was off but every gear...

You mileage will vary depending on the radial. ;) The Goodyears on my 20's that came from Ford didn't benefit at all from a typical warm up. Then again it also depends on if somebody rolled through the water with radials where it won't matter what you do because the meathead in front of you...

:tsk::rant::( Frack, ok, when I get home I'll plug the battery back in and find a backroad where I hopefully can wring it out for a full 1/4 mile pass without getting pulled over and the car impounded. :o

It's happening on the 6 to 7 shift, possible chance of spin = 0 but I didn't know about the extra hold time. Do you think it could be kicking in on accident at 114 mph? EDIT: When it does kick in, does the acceleration go suddenly flat right after the shift, then a second or so later suddenly...

Regular radials don't require getting heated up, it simply doesn't help them, I was hitting 1.9 60 footers with a "light spin", probably 5 seconds on the 20" Goodyears which is pretty damn good considering on the street they spin like frightened Chihuahua's.
  6. Something is wrong here

I smacked myself in the head when I read it, light bulb, duh! :eyebulge: I video other problems, why I didn't think of it, getting old and CRS is all I can think of.
  7. Something is wrong here

Damn it man, that makes perfect sense! Ok, I'll try to find a way to get my cell phone positioned so I don't drive into the woods while trying this.
  8. Something is wrong here

I took the car to a back road and set it to drag mode with TC off, ran it a little past the 1/4 mile and sure enough, it hit 7th gear and went flat, about 2 seconds later it started hauling ass again, so there is something going on in Denmark, whatever the hell it is, no clue but damn the car...
  9. bone stock 18 11's first night out

I forgot, hey when your car shifted into 7th how does the pull feel, mine goes completely flat.
  10. First time with my 2018

I'm very interested in this, mine doesn't hit a limiter, it just goes flat after going into 7th.
  11. First time with my 2018

I had TC off and mine would hold the gear at 7800rpm so not even close to the same symptom.
  12. First time with my 2018

Mine at times has issues in drag mode holding rpm's and Friday it would fall flat on its face going into 7th. As people have said, make sure TC is off as well in drag mode or it will fall onto its face during shifts. Your car ran about the same as mine did in sport mode.
  13. Something is wrong here

No Mykeys configured so back to the drawing board.
  14. Something is wrong here

Funny note, 1900 rpm launch worked pretty well considering the junk Goodyears on the 20's. 2000 to 2100 the car started spinning the tires while I was waiting for the tree to come down on run 3. I was able to lower the revs by the 3rd bulb and then floored it so that contributed to the 12.5...
  15. bone stock 18 11's first night out

    What gear are you running?
  16. Something is wrong here

I know all of this and I'm not disputing any of its validity. My main point here is not how can I improve ET, it's how do I find out why the car goes instantly flat hitting 7th gear. I think if MyKey isn't set to 114 then I have to figure out what could be causing something neither other...
  17. Something is wrong here

The car is bone stock, going on 2 months old and just hit 2,000 miles at the track. This MyKey idea sounds plausible, trying to remember if I have been at 114 in the past 2 months and I have done some runs but can't remember if I have gone that fast.
  18. Something is wrong here

Agreed 1000%! I didn't even think of that, the dealer had 2 previous test drivers and why the hell didn't I think of this. It feels exactly like no matter what, the car was going 114 and that's it. Timeslip 2 and 4 show this, the car could have dipped into the 11.90's or 12.0's if not...
  19. Something is wrong here

I'm not sure, but I'm going to find out Monday I hope. I agree, it does feel like it's pulling timing or something like a limiter.
  20. Something is wrong here

I believe so and once the shift into 7th occurs it goes flat... kaput.
