  2. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Only once that I could feel it going into 3rd it held back, it seemed to pull all the way on the other runs, the shift into 2nd gear on each run is something else, very hard and I'm sure impacted the ET.
  3. PP2 vs. Lund Tune - how much am I leaving on the table?

Good question, Chris explained I would see a power increase on my stock 18 GT with the nGuage/Tune on 93 octane. Will it be $594.00 worth of performance, not sure but it will also allow me to log while driving and hopefully find out why the wrench pops up. Others have stated their tunes make...
  4. Tune Time

I just spoke with Chris at Lethal Performance about tuning my stock 2018 Mustang GT. He was excellent, very informative. It looks like I'm going to buy the LUND RACING NGAUGE TUNING AND MONITORING GAUGE W/BASE TUNE (2011+). I'm also adding a note to the order to turn off Adv Trac/Trac...
  5. Thermal Cat Back Exhaust

I've been checking into this system anybody have it installed on their 2018 yet? https://www.americanmuscle.com/thermal-r-d-catback-exhaust-2018-gt-fastback-w-o-active-exhaust.html
  6. Slicks with AT 2018 GT

    DAYUM that looks sweet!!! :headbang:

Take a look at that tire profile, it would not benefit from lower tire pressure to attain better 60 foot short times. The fact I can hit consistent 1.9's I think is pretty amazing. .
  8. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Sure, 40 years of drag racing proving to me lowering tire pressure on very non-sticky street radials never works. They're 20" Goodyear all weather radials, at 40psi the entire contact patch is on the road, lower it and these very low profile tires might not make full contact. I'm not sure...
  9. Road trip!!

Agreed, and time goes by fast, bought my first new Mustang 5.0 LX Coupe June of 1985 and have had 8 of them since. Will always have one, Ford tried to kill the car by changing it into the Probe, hopefully that kind of idiocy never happens, if it doesn't I'll die owning a Mustang.
  10. Road trip!!

My 2006 Mustang GT I drove as little as possible, it never saw rain or snow and it lived in the garage. This new 2018 Mustang GT I started that way, bought it on April 6th this year and stuck it in the garage. A few days into owning it I took it out for longer and longer drives and during one...
  11. Official 1/4 Mile Fast List & Leaderboards (V8) - 2015+ Mustangs

Union Grove Dragaway 06/13/18 Vehicle, Trim & Transmission: 2018 Mustang GT Premium 400A, 3.55 A10 Auto Modifications (if any) None: Bone Stock on 20" All Weather Goodyears Best run, hot lap 2nd run out of 5 using Drag Mode for all runs. Apparently GLD time clock was off by a day...
  12. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Agreed, I have no complaints for yesterday except for the wrench showing up. The car felt great, it hammered the shifts in drag mode, too much so in 2nd gear where I know I lost ET due to tire spin.
  13. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

All season 20" street tires and you're saying way too much variation? How do you do everything exactly the same for each pass? I adjust according to conditions which are decidedly NOT the same for each pass.
  14. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Yeah the car was running great, the run where adv trac kicked in was out of nowhere, it was screaming and then bam, kicked back and then took off again. I agree with the people who say it needs a tune, this nanny crap coming out of nowhere when turned off is nuts.
  15. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Let me know what you're smoking when looking at those time slips, I averaged 1.9 on 4 runs and a 2.0 60 on the last run, I don't know how to be more consistent than that. I don't like the 2.0 60 on the 5th run but considering I think on all season 20" Goodyears this was pretty damn good.
  16. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

I damn near ran a perfect one with a .005. The tires are at factory spec 40psi. I waited for the big boys to run with slicks, track prep was pretty good as well. I staged and brought RPM's up to 1800 and let that take me out of the hole, then I floored it. Out of the hole for all season tires...
  17. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Car is bone stock, hopefully I can get up there with better DA and lower humidity.
  18. Evil Mustangs.

That has got to be a parody account, they have to be looking that stupid on purpose.
  19. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

I took the car to GLD in Union Grove Wisconsin last night. I found that turning Adv Trac off means it will decide to turn itself back on if you back up to do your burn out where trac control doesn't do that. Turns out I was able to do all 5 runs with no burn out as the car does the same 60ft...
  20. Something is wrong here

Well GLD time tomorrow to see how the car does with avd trac off. Similar conditions I think as on 6/1 so maybe with adv trac off now it traps better at least, elapsed improvement would be fantastic as well.
