  1. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

I know I need better tires to improve short times, heck I knew this the very first time I drove the car, on the street with trac control off the car just fishtails so the fact it gets 1.9's puts a smile on my face. The next time I go to the trac I'll lower pressure some, we'll see how it does...

  3. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

I never have seen 2 inch tall tires cut a 1.8 but like I said I'll give it a try the next time I go to GLD.
  4. Tune Time

Just got back from a quick drive, no wrench felt fine.
  5. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

On each run in those videos I did 20ft burnout, dropping psi in 2inch sidewall all weather tires makes zero sense but I'll give it a try. I have never in my life seen a car with all season tires dip into the 1.8 short times, let alone short profile tires, if somebody has done so I'd love...
  6. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

I was set on Kona Blue until my dealership put a Crimson Red convertible in their showroom, it blew my mind and I had to have a GT in that color. :headbang:
  7. Tune Time

Agreed, I would like to know the cause of the wrench though. I'm taking it out when I get back home tomorrow, it's going to be hot as hell so a good time to see if the wrench comes back.
  8. ROYAL CRIMSON S550 MUSTANG THREAD

I didn't know any were built with chrome trim??
  9. Just leaving this here

The KIA has its place, for what it is I like it, is it comparable to the Mustang, not even a little. Completely different markets even if they ran similar numbers, which they don't no matter how much 2 idiots try to make it so. If I were in the market for a sedan the Stinger would be in the...
  10. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Run #2, 12.2@114, same nanny biotch kicked in at 114. [ame=""]
  11. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

This was the last run of the night on 06/01/18 at GLD. In this run the car went 12.2@114 again with a 1.9 short time. Advanced trac kicked in again going into 7th gear keeping the car from going faster than 114. [ame=""]
  12. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Here is the 12.5 run (from 6/1/18 at GLD) where I took it to 2,000 rpms and the tires started to break loose so I quickly lowered it to 1,800 rpms before the last bulb lit. [ame=""]

Out of the hole maybe? The 1 - 2 shift kicks the rear over and spins, it shifts harder into 2nd than any automatic I've ever been in. Come to think of it, it does a hop as well when the tires grab during the shift.
  14. Very quick question hen putting new mustang in reverse

All I hear is you banging the lever back and forth and the transmission trying to keep up. I'm on laptop speakers so I could be missing it but maybe make the video without shifting the lever back and forth so fast?
  15. First time ever at the dragstrip

Welcome to the addiction, imagine what it was like for those of us who were around when the Mustang GT had 150hp. We had nowhere to go but up!!
  16. Thinking about going from GT back to a slow car

I have a daily driver for work and basic stuff, save the Mustang for the fun stuff. For me, even my previous boosted GT knowing it has the power is fine, I don't need to rip it a lot, when I get onto a back road I get on it a bit but mostly I drive the car normally.
  17. Tune Time

For me it typically costs me double, I spend $594 for this tune/nguage and she gets to spend equal..... forces me to think through everything. Imagine how expensive the new Mustang was... :headbonk:
  18. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

I wish there was a faster way to turn that damn thing off.
  19. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

Agreed, it definitely felt better at the big end, would have been nice to have better DA which will probably not happen again until the Fall.
  20. Night at the Drag Strip 061318

I'm not expert either but I have tried lowering pressure too many times to count with no improvement in 60ft. All weather tires don't respond well to long burnouts or lowering pressure, the sidewall is so short on these tires lowering pressure won't do anything but for giggles the next time...
