Did you ask for an emissions tune? If so is your check engine light on? If not then make sure the cars driven a hundred miles since last flash or battery disconnect.
Seems like cold starts even on 93 octane take a few extra cranks to get started now a days , I switch back and forth from 93 to e85 with the flex fuel tune from Lund. Even on warm starts it seems like the starter cranks too much on 93 octane as well. I was thinking for a little while it...
Has anyone had to replace their fuel filter? Now even with 93 octane after switching back from e85 the cars gotta crank a few times before firing up, don't think it could be anything else
When your running e90+ it's hard getting the car started much less energy with only 10 or less percent gas . I'm running flex fuel and yesterday it was 68 degrees and it took a ton of cranks just to get it started . Once the cars running everything is awesome just a pain to start with so much...
Absolutely agree , a lot don't do much or anything. Torco is the real deal , it's not sold by autozone that's how you know right there plus the thousands of positive reviews online lol
Just did some more research on Torco and it's ingredient MMT , research has been done on vehicles with or without MMT for 100k miles and it does not have any negative effect on catalytic converters, in fact it has been noted that it is safe and helps prevent catylatic converter failure ... so...
I passed NY state emissions testing with a full tank of e85 .. so the cats were very happy with very strict testing , after all e85 is or was originally meant for environment friendly people who believe in global warming to keep pollution down lol! Turned out to be the cheapest race gas one...
I've been doing research on torco and it will not hurt modern cats or o2 sensors because it is unleaded . I'm sure if you use it like every day for a year or two maybe an issue but sparingly, I don't think there could be issues. not sure about octanium
What's the worst case scenario running octane boost like torco to get similar octane that E85 provides and just have Lund bump up some timing with that... maybe some fouled spark plugs? I'm sure if I don't over mix torco the plugs will remain ok
I'm NA no power adders
What kind of pros and cons would it be running 1 over the other especially for long term effects like fuel system damage? I know Torco does add a lot of timing due to the added octane it has proven to provide , but will it cause more problems in the long run com pared to E85? Especially if it's...
