I have only about 4000 miles, hope this is just a natural break in for the diff that the torsen has some play. If there's no sign of fluid leaking then it's not the seal so maybe it's just natural. My buddy has the true trac and his clunks but he's driving a 05 GTO so you can't totally compare
Have you changed out your weak factory 2 piece driveshaft? That will cause lots of slop. I do think trac lok will definitely be less sloppy because it functions a little different I believe
2013 and 2014 GT500s has torsen and a lot of people drag race them, if you are running high horsepower then I'd be worried, detroit true tracs stronger I believe

Go with a steeda cold air with insert removed or jlt. The more air pushed into that gt350 manifold the greater the gains and it will make much more gains then stock size tubing and air box .. Trust me. Don't forget were running extremely good flowing cylinder heads, boss 302 heads so power gains...
When you say surging what exactly do you mean, low rpm bucking ? Or is it something that's spread out through the whole rpm band. I'm curious if it's something i would be able to tolorate
