  1. Car and Driver Camaro SS Long Term Test Review

Please explain in engineering terms why this is so.
  2. March 2016 Mustang Sales

I don't know if I've seen one in the wild yet, they look so similar.
  3. My prediction for the engine

Its not quite the panacea you make it out to be. It still has carbon buildup problems which will eventually be solved and will always be more expensive than port due to its high pressure nature (possibly using a form of both port and direct, more expense). To get the full benefits compression...
  4. Real World Test by the SCCA.

You don't speak for me, or anyone besides yourself, pal.
  5. My prediction for the engine

V6 ecoboost for the Mach, V8 ecoboost for the 500.
  6. 5.0 Coyote vs LS3/LT1 GM engines - how do they compare?

Or just use the V-10 line to make a 6.3 coyote. Or better yet, use the 6.2 from the raptor and do a 4V head. Guys been welding together stuff for awhile, someone will do it eventually.
  7. GT350 vs 2017 ZL1

I don't think it will keep up with a 350 either. But I'm holding out for a 500.
  8. GT350 vs 2017 ZL1

    100 sounds about right.
  9. GT350 vs 2017 ZL1

1LE is going to need bigger wheels, bigger tires, bigger brakes, chassis support and probably coolers. Me thinks its going to gain weight over the SS. All that above and a blower for a ZL1, more weight. And then getting punched out immediately by the 18 GT500. Be it V6 or V8.
  10. Stang vs camaro (modded)

Good, maybe we will get some quality entertainment around here.
  11. 5.0 Coyote vs LS3/LT1 GM engines - how do they compare?

If Ford spreads the bores its game set match. The motor would only need to be 1" longer and 1/4" wider to kill all others, plenty of engine compartment room for that. Then hp/ci will suddenly matter to some here.
  12. 5.0 Coyote vs LS3/LT1 GM engines - how do they compare?

People complaining about the physical size of the coyotes is like complaining your girls tits are too big. DOHC takes more room, because its better than OHV, all damn day. It flows more for a given size due to less restriction, and its more stable and lasts longer. You have to have more IQ to...
  13. 5.0 Coyote vs LS3/LT1 GM engines - how do they compare?

OHC 7 ways from Sunday. And if that's not available 385 series, and if that's not available 351C, and so on. I'd love a lbs/ci class like the old days, but like the old days, the chevys would still need weight breaks to keep up.
  14. 4.09 Rear Gear Set

Anyone made a move on this yet? I would love to see one of these things geared down to get this thing in the power band faster..
  15. Comp cams have arrived

Can you elaborate a little on the process that is used to get that crank polished like that, it looks amazing.
  16. New EPA Regulation Would Kill Production-Based Race Cars

I'm going with what this site says: http://www.onallcylinders.com/2016/02/12/9-facts-and-myths-about-the-epa-proposal-to-prohibit-conversion-of-vehicles-into-race-cars/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+OnAllCylinders+%28OnAllCylinders%29 I'm not going to trust snopes...
  17. Kooks Custom Headers and Exhaust

I remember when a set of Hedman headers for a 351c mach1 were $75 bucks from Allstate auto supply. And they fit and worked. The paint would burn off in 15 minutes. Hookers were about $125.
  18. C6 z06 vs gt350

Global warming and the EPA is a joke, it means you don't believe in satellite temperature measurements or weather balloon temperature measurements. Land based measurements have been manipulated and therefore corrupted to augment a narrative. The slightest amount of digging into past documented...
  19. Car and Driver: 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51 vs. 2016 Ford Mustang GT350

Add 250 or so pounds to the vette and you have your 1LE. They should put 4.11's in the 2017 350's, and bump the rev limiter to compensate, I think it would do wonders for the car.
