The 5.4 had a 4.615 stroke. A 6.2 stroked to 7.0 would only need a 4.2 stroke to get there. It would be marginally taller than a 5.0, and about 2 inches longer....no problem, and should be cheap if its going in trucks too...
I get it now, the only opinion that counts is yours. Sorry pal, been buying new mustangs for over 30 years, and driving and racing them before that. I'm glad it will never look like the first 3 in my lifetime. The blue one above is nice but a little too Viperish.
I looked at it again, and I needed a second bag of IV fluid. Sorry man, this is a Mustang, not a Crossfire meets Bugatti collision. Glad it will never look like any of those.
3 years ago, and its a great car, for road racing, so much so it seems almost sacrilegious to try to drag race it, even though if I had one I would. Where is the car for what most people crave? Flat plane is cool, but being a engineer I'd love to see an identical cross plane set up to see how...
I got a low nine second super gas car already, and I love my Boss, but I'm ready for some boost, preferably turbo produced, and pressurizing 8 holes, not 6.
I'd like to say, don't get me wrong, I think the 350 is a great car. It was excellent when it came out. But 3 years is a long time, and chevy has came and went past us where it counts. I don't really care who sells the most, they don't give out trophies for that at the track.
If you think about...
Damn right, we don't see to many toys at the drags. There is a lot more drag racers and drag strips than road courses. It costs a lot more wear and tear, and money to do it too. Most of the time you guys ain't even racing, just going around like 3/4's.
You road course guys are such snobs. Screw...
I'm comparing Mustang to Camaro (its a lot worse when you throw in the vette)and as much as I mod my cars, it loses consistency if you start swapping parts to equal out cars, although tire swaps should be allowable when comparing, but not rims.
1LE, performance uncomfortably close to a 350TP, a...
Good for you bud. I don't really get off on cars I cant have. I hope you are making bank. I'm lucky enough and worked hard enough to buy a performance toy, but 400K is far out of the box for normal well above average salary people, I'd rather buy a 150K mid engine vette available car with a V8...
This is a good point. 61 K base 17 ZL1, 75K 3 year older less contented Z.
Does anyone really know what they make on a car besides some top level executives? I bet that's even an estimate. I'm sure there is a good bit of room in the pricing. They will charge somewhere between a predetermined...
A good part of the 20K was for an exotic motor, with more personality than the run of the mill V8. A lot of time and money on research and unique parts testing etc. A 350 with a cross plane 5.2 with Voodoo heads and blower specific cams would more than compete in price and performance. Fords...
Because Ford has a history of GT500's, and its not hard to get there. And it wont add "a lot of weight", is that what happened to the ZL1 over the SS? 130 horsepower is more than a lot of cars have to start with. They could have blown a cross plane coyote a long time ago and eclipsed a ZL1 even...
