  1. 2020 Mustang-inspired EV

Whats next, a Mustang pickup? What a terrible idea. I guess thats what you get when you hire a guy known for making filing cabinets.
  2. What happens if this New GT500 can't beat my C7 Z06?

    Green areas feeling is mutual.
  3. 2020 Shelby GT500 Mustang leaked specs: 720HP @ 7500 RPM, 650 ft-lbs @ 4500 RPM, 4225lbs curb weight

Wow, i hope this is not true. Mid engine Vette sales just went up by one.
  4. 2018 Mustang GT owners : Listen to your engine for rattles..could be that...!!

This is a big nothing burger. Bore is so shiny its reflecting the piston top. The lines are a shinier area of the bore on the thrust side of the bore. Only surprising thing is the texture of the piston top.
  5. 2.7L Ecoboost engine on Gen-7 Mustang EB?

Take the V8 out, call it a probe, and watch it die.
  6. 2.7L Ecoboost engine on Gen-7 Mustang EB?

A V8 and Mustang are synonymous. When one goes, so begins the decline of the other. It turns into a word at that point, just a same as everything else boring ass 4 wheels and a yawn, which is what those of you who don't understand or agree with this sentiment should be driving. Losing the V8...
  7. Time slip explanation

It seems complicated at first, but it gets easy to understand after you think about it. If you waited to take off till you saw green, you are going to be going home very early if you are in eliminations. Keep launching earlier and earlier during time trials until you get a red light, then try to...
  8. MT Head 2 Head - 2018 Camaro SS 1LE vs 2018 Mustang GT

Just about every performance test would get you a ticket in the US if done on the street.
  9. 2020 Mach 1!

Worst idea since trying to make the probe a mustang
  10. S650 cancelled?

Hmmmm, Mustang or McLaren, I just can't make up my mind.....
  11. Trending on /r/cars: 2019 Shelby GT500 to receive Ford's new N/A 7.0L V8 w/ DI

My guess is 6.2 block in aluminum with updates, bored using spray bore tech and stroked, and 4V heads to get full effect of variable valve timing with direct injection thrown in for good measure. Similar to the early iron 5.4 3V evolution to 5.8 4V in one jump. Anything less is a cop out...
  12. Trending on /r/cars: 2019 Shelby GT500 to receive Ford's new N/A 7.0L V8 w/ DI

    Supercharged 5.2.........yawn.....70K +.....no thanks.
  13. Trending on /r/cars: 2019 Shelby GT500 to receive Ford's new N/A 7.0L V8 w/ DI

And if it had a twin turbo coyote, it would eat its breakfast and dinner too, and sound good doing it.
  14. Trending on /r/cars: 2019 Shelby GT500 to receive Ford's new N/A 7.0L V8 w/ DI

Has anyone made an exhaust yet for the v6 that doesn't sound like dog shit unless its mouse quiet? Not that I know of. If they put the eco v6 in a Mustang, fine. Just don't call it a Shelby, Boss or Cobra. And don't pretend it could run with its supercharged V8 competitors without a huge weight...
  15. 2019 GT500 Mule? Front Gills/Louvers

I believe the new 7.0 Liter engine being developed will probably be all aluminum architecture, so its weight should be significantly lighter than the 6.2 in the previous Raptor.
  16. 2018 Mustang Production Starts 10/2 (Update: Scheduling Starts 8/24/17)

They are slipping in general. No info on 2018 power, late release, over priced and markups on 3 going on 4 years on 350R's with no end in sight, no response to ZL1+1LE, no response to Hellcat and Demon, an un-a-ford-able and unattainable, non-independently tested halo car, they really are...
  17. 2019 GT500 Mule? Front Gills/Louvers

Click on the link, you can clearly see the headers on that S197, something that is difficult to do on my Boss from that angle. I bet it would fit easily, but with 4V heads, it would be marginally tighter. Ford doesn't like to throw things away, and the bore center tooling for that engine is...
  18. 2019 GT500 Mule? Front Gills/Louvers

    6.2 deck height = 9.410 5.4 deck height = 10.079 4.6, 5.0 deck height = 8.937
  19. 2019 GT500 Mule? Front Gills/Louvers

And it fit nicely in an S197. http://www.mustangandfords.com/news/m5lp-1009-ford-motor-company-62-liter-v8-engine/photo-gallery/#4
