  1. Is the 2018 Mustang GT the end of a performance era?

Full size for sure, and I find it amusing that a 'light duty' truck now bests the capacity (by 50%) of a heavy duty truck of a couple decades ago. 13,300lbs tow capacity is now 'light duty'. I guess it's all relative. Long live the ICE and it's continued advancement!
  2. PP2 Down for the Count

Oh noes! Guess at least your dealer isn't f'ing you around on it.
  3. Edelbrock 2018-2019 Mustang Modular Inlet 2650 TVS Supercharger – Stage 1 - 15832 & 158320

Still waiting for stage 2 eo to drop, but may end up going with Paxton/Vortech because I'm not really thrilled about losing the strut tower brace. Besides, wheelspin is already borderline with TC off.
  4. Is the 2018 Mustang GT the end of a performance era?

Totally get what you are saying. It's the further 'stupidification' of our species that is condoned/mandated by our governments, and accepted by, or likely not even recognized by, us, that I find disgusting.
  5. Perceptions of Middle-age Men in Mustangs

That's what I was wondering?!? I have trucks, stangs, and bikes, guess I'm covered. Seriously though, who cares? I've had a mustang since I was 17 and I could GAF what some bimbo thinks. Sometimes, I think my wife loves the '18 more than I do. That's the kind of woman you should be looking for.
  6. Is the 2018 Mustang GT the end of a performance era?

And I say that's all well and good, unless you are one of the 3.4 failures. So far, the 'computer' that drives my car has caused 0.0 crashes. I just see the tech as unnecessary, and risky. I mean really, were so lazy now that we're willing to accept dying in car crash just to avoid driving?
  7. Is the 2018 Mustang GT the end of a performance era?

I'm sure some systems are more sophisticated than others, but there is no such thing as a foolproof system, and none of them will be as sophisticated as a human brain for a long time to come. IMO, the risk is not worth the reward. Computers crash, pun intended.
  8. Is the 2018 Mustang GT the end of a performance era?

Just like they can tell the difference between the sky and the side of a semi tractor-trailer? Sounds great in theory, but in 30+ years of driving, I haven't cashed a vehicle due to a recognition problem (or for any other reason, knock wood). It'll be a cold day in hell before I trust my life...
  9. 2020 Silverado HD

This actually doesn't look much worse than the 2019, imo! On second thought, I like it better!
  10. 2020 Silverado HD

Or they're blind! Front end looks like some sort of grill sandwich.
  11. 2020 Silverado HD

You'd think they would have fired all the transformers animators on the design team by now...
  12. New LMR SVE SP2 Wheels (PP2 Replica)

I do like the weight reduction on these versus OEM. 19x11 on the front is interesting. I like the breakaway characteristic of the SC2 on the 10.5 inch rim. I assume it would slip sooner on an 11 inch wheel. Thoughts?
  13. Santa's Early Gift

Man, we really get hosed out here on the west coast. Premium is $3.85!!!
  14. New LMR SVE SP2 Wheels (PP2 Replica)

I'm not implying anything. I want a true lightweight PP2 replica. I believe a forged wheel would be even lighter than a flow formed wheel, would it not? Seems like forged wheels in this size run about 20 pounds. This wheel at 24 pounds is a serious improvement over the OEM wheel, but I believe...
  15. New LMR SVE SP2 Wheels (PP2 Replica)

    8.0! Nice! Nice wheels too!
  16. New LMR SVE SP2 Wheels (PP2 Replica)

No, that's what you inferred without bothering to ask. The ignorance is on your part. I already said, I want lightweight (true) PP2 replicas. Never said anything about track use, quality of these wheels, or their construction. I also don't ascribe labels to others for their choices, and would...
  17. New LMR SVE SP2 Wheels (PP2 Replica)

Oy vey! Come back when you have something constructive to add.
  18. New LMR SVE SP2 Wheels (PP2 Replica)

So I guess by your standards, we should all be driving yugos, because only 'baller true racer' types need more performance than that, and anything in excess of that is just for show?
  19. New LMR SVE SP2 Wheels (PP2 Replica)

Rock on dude. I'd still buy a forged (lightweight) replica in the factory sizes and offsets, but not these. BTW, nice to know forged wheels are only for car shows and impressing others. :like:
