Removing the post because I do not want this to reflect badly on ESS. They have been way more than accomodating and generous throughout the process. I put in brand new LU47 injectors and the car idles fine now. I will take for a spin later tonight.
If the other car is a manual I think that's probably why the higher hp. Also tuning differences. Good to know you're not hitting ridiculously off psi figures lol
Just a heads up you can add the ecoboost boost guage to a GT mine is 2020. This works I believe on any year. You'll need an elm adapter mine was 20 bucks on Amazon and the forscan software and 2 month trial license is free. Do a search on this forum for as build data and then follow the link to...
Are you thinking its more than 8 just based off the power? I think we need more people to get this kit, dyno and post their specs (which I will gladly do once I get my hands on it). They said their inventory is fine but they actually lack the manpower to piece all the kits together since they're...
When I called I had said I was doing a 9.5 psi pulley and the guy at ESS talked me out of it. He said even on 93 timing would be an issue and I was better off with a bigger pulley. While they are not tuners they did work directly with Arizona elite which is their tuner of choice and at least...
In general sure but for pump gas? The people who made this kit said not to go over 7 on 93. They did extensive testing on multiple cars. He told me I'd have to take so much timing out I would lose power over a smaller pulley.
Interesting you went with 8 psi on 93 octane. Did anyone from ESS talk with you about that combo? I was told not to do that with a gen 3. I'm excited by your results though on e54 I'm sure it will be over 700 to the wheel
When we were talking it was in reference to the gen 3 you are correct. We did not discuss the gen 2 but your logic seems straight although I don't know how much more boost you could get away with exactly on pump gas with a gen 2. If you give them a call or send an email they usually reply next day.
Something I wanted to mention to you all. I had a nice chat with the guy who does the development and software side of ess today. We talked about my kit and changed a few things about it. For 91 octane they say do the 6psi pulley for 93 the 7 pound and you can do e54 with a boost a pump and 47...
Coming from my C7 with an entirely stock fuel system and that thing made more than enough to have difficulty with traction in 1-3. That's why I don't see me going over what the otherwise mostly stock fuel system in the gen 3s can do. I know at that level it was already more than enough for...
I am in phoenix. Id rather stay under a power limit in the mid to high 600s than spend a few thousand to be able to run e85. I don't plan on upgrading the block or the clutch so I know I'm going to stay under 750 no matter what.
Ok so there's the boost a pump for the low side, dw400 which is also a low side upgrade and the xdi which is the high side. I'm just trying to understand when each is needed? I thought the high side doesn't really need to be touched. I really don't understand when people do the dw400 over a bap...
Thanks everyone for the responses. I think what i will do is see how far the pump gas can take me and decide if I want more at all since to do the return style is way more money but has the potential for way more power.
Hi all,
I did some searching on this forum and wasn't exactly finding the answers I was looking for so I apologize that this has probably been asked a lot. I have 20 GT and will be putting a centri blower on it. My tuner (Black Market Racing in Phoenix) seems to think the 47 lb injectors plus a...
