Take your time and enjoy it! Took me about 6-7 hours by myself. Even without instructions if you've done a blower install before you can mostly figure it out.
The 8.5 psi pulley is a flex fuel tune but the 11 psi pulley is a dedicated e54 tune. However I've had the e content as high as 72% and the port injectors were only at 30% duty cycle while the direct injection system held pressure no problem
Where I got 6700 from is very subjective.
The g2 kit with g3 intercooler was around 5200 including tax. Lu47 injectors were 200. BAP I bought off this forum for 125. Hpt tuner device 300 with 2 credits. 900 for the tune since they could use my device instead of having to license it themselves...
I made 796 on the 11psi pulley with a resonator delete and e54 not e85 in the dead of arizona summer. With cooler temps to help with the heatsoak and not doing back to back pulls I think the g2 is capable of high 850s. The issue wasn't the boost it was the heat causing the computer to take...
I priced the Paxton and vortech kits out on your website and got around 7860 for what I got for my 6400. Maybe I needed to be more specific. The 6400 includes sc kit, bap, injectors, hptuners device, upgraded intercooler, in person tune
I removed the cats today. To me it is now perfect. With active exhaust and a x pipe it can be quite or pretty loud and the balance between rumble and rasp is just right for me. Highly recommend doing this. I had seen and heard cats would get blown out at some point. Mine looked fine.
Yes and something to remember is after the 739 run on the flex fuel tune my tuner pulled a degree out but on this dedicated e54 tune the 796 was the final number. No changes to timing were made after that. So in reality it was maybe a 60-70 who gain and that from 2.5 psi more is very good...
With the 11 psi pulley we made 796 and 588.
The G2 is hitting its limit especially with the hot Temps in AZ but that being said the engine loved the boost and the timing. Fueling was just fine actually a little rich up top on purpose. I have a stock fuel pump a boost a pump and lu47 injectors...
I found a really easy way to get 90% of the sc oil out. You can use a brake bleeder and pump it out. I used an adapter at the end of the tube that went in the sc to help get more out. I measured what I got out and filtered it. The gear oil looks great. I wasn't sure if the headunit needed an oil...
I take that back about not altering anything. I stopped by ESS today to pickup the new pulley and remembered that the clamp that goes to the outlet of the head unit I had to buy a smaller one because the clamp o was provided was not tight enough and the hose blew off the first week I had it on...
I have a flex fuel tune for the 8.5 psi pulley. I'm taking it to the same tuner who did the ff. I haven't had to alter anything after after install. I had not even heard of the crank support. It looks like it's really overpriced for a bracket and pulley. I don't plan on doing that.
