I would not waste time staying with that dealer. Call around, ask the service departments of other dealerships whether they have heard of the ticking issue on coyotes. Tell them you want to bring yours in and be candid that you want it taken seriously. Start fresh somewhere else. You're getting...

I guess I got lucky. The dealership i went to, who had the car for 3 weeks , didn't skip a beat. I just asked for one and they took care of it. No questions asked. I don't even have an extended warranty or service plan.

The service manager stated I did not need to break it in but all the same it has a lot of new parts and I'm going easy on it. Drives very healthy though. Maybe a little bit better mpg. Happy to have it back.

Ford hotline may have them jump through a couple hoops first before saying a short block is needed. The warranty work on my car was 9k. That's a lot. After they change the oil filter the problem will still be there and they'll move to something else. That or the advisor/manager will order a tear...

CEhollier had damaged cams, metal shavings in oil, an angelic mechanic and still didn't get a long block, but one can hope. If you get a long block youd be the first I've heard of.
