If it's effecting both sides that seems to me that it could be a vacuum leak. Since it's free might as well double check all the connections. Kind of a pain to take the bumper off again. Honestly ford you don't need so many screws in the skid plate lol
I could be wrong but I think iat can also cause timing pull that won't show up as knock. I know you have meth which should be keeping the temps cool. When we did my 11 psi tune I actually don't know what the iats were but my tuner did say the blower was putting out heat.
I had a a&a kit on it. V3 si. Started at 6.5 psi. That was the most my tuner recommened on 91. It made 580. Still felt very fast. We bumped to a 8.5 psi pulley when I added meth. Made 655hp and 580tq at 122 degrees in the dyno room. Compared to the mustang they're very different. Huge difference...
I really enjoyed the meth setup I had on my c7. I sprayed pure meth for the fueling and octane boost mostly but the lower iats were nice too especially in here in Arizona. Is yours a universal snow kit or alky control kit?
ESS advised against anything higher than 7.5 on pump gas but I think they were being conservative which isn't bad. I think we have some info now that supports you can safely run 9.5 on 93 like Kevin mentioned. I personally like having the option to go between 8.5 and 11 depending on the fuel...
Lu47 and bap is enough for e54 and with that you can run the 11psi pulley. If you have e85 you can just mix it with pump gas to get e54. I'm not sure who would tune it though. I don't see why my tuner couldn't do it remotely....
You're positive you got the right belt? Brevin had a post a little while back of which belts go with what pulleys. I know it's difficult but it wasn't that bad with two people and maxing out the tensioner. If I were you I'd done check you got the right belt and then double check it is fully...
Oh yeah I remember the belt for 8.5 psi pulley was pretty difficult. I had to have a friend max out the tensioner and then and only then was I able to slip it over the one of the idler pulleys. It's possible just very tight. The belt for the 11 psi pulley was not at tight of a fit.
800... hell 1000 is doable. I am not saying it's safe though. The ecm in the s550s is actually way more safe to tune properly than a ls setup because it has some additional safety checks that can be incorporated into the tune. I am still on the 11 psi pulley which made near 800 on the g2 and...
I am rolling around on the flex fuel tune rn. I moved a few weeks back. Now the closest e station is a 30 minute drive so when I'm in that area I get e but when I'm not I use 91.
Switch back to the stock active valve mufflers (if you had those) and change the tips. I am catless with no resonator and stock active mufflers. It is so nice to quiet down the car or make it sound like a monster all by a button.
Our cars made just about the same on pump gas that's pretty cool.
