I noticed much smoother and better throttle response with the intake. It was worth it for this and the cool noise it makes :) They'll probably have good deals on Black Friday. As far as exhaust cat backs don't delete that 2.25" bottleneck behind the cats. The s197 cars did t have this.
I do agree the Mustang is choked up, I really think ford held back. The exhaust is choked up compared to the S197, the air box is smaller, and I think the stock tune is softer compared with my 12. I just hope ford does right by offering us 15/16 owners the chance to upgrade to any improvements...
Some people won't accept reality. Half second is a thorough beating in the quarter mile. Im not a ford nutswinger, I'm a car guy. I've owned a WS6 and Mazdaspeed among others, along with a 12 and now the 15 gt. The last Camaro was the car I wanted til I test drove a 12 gt. The gt felt smaller...
Screw DI unless it has a secondary injection system.
If my base pp car was 3500 lbs and had 475 hp and 420 tq with a 7500 rpm redline it would be the perfect car.
People calling the car ugly crack me up. Hell, go on some of the S197 forums and Facebook pages and they still rip the S550 for being ugly and looking like a Fusion. I like the looks of the Camaro with the exception of the high shoulders and the pedestal spoiler.
I'm a previous s197 owner. My 12 was a premium and my 15 is base with only pp. You couldn't force me back into my 12.
I do wish the 15 had more power but don't we all?
That Whiteline bushing made my 12 GT vibrate like mad even with the hole cut out. It works great but the NVH was bad. I removed it after a week. Gonna get a Steeda version and see if it as bad in my 15
.....if so how much of a difference did they make? I'm gonna get them just want to hear some opinions. My car is a daily that doesn't see the track, just some spirited driving now and then.
It's a shame PMAS wasn't more involved in this thread. They could have had a home run and made a lot of money on this. Instead they lost a lot of customers, myself included.
