  1. Local tuner for Cobb AP3

Actually I used to hang out at SpeedCraft on Blanding in between Orange Park and Middleburg back when Dwight used to work there with Todd(who had a JDM 3 rotor RX-7 before getting arrested for what I think was statutory rape, he liked high school girls while in his late 30s). Within a few years...
  2. Local tuner for Cobb AP3

Lonnie, I'd love to check out your car. The shop that he is pushing for is Mase Engineering. Their website is impressive, they have quite a few high end cars that he has done. I will have the Cobb AP3 on Monday... I wasn't home to sign on Friday :( I just put a set of 1 stage colder Denso plugs...
  3. Danger of VTA on aftermarket Intakes?

Yes but I wouldn't call them issues. Besides it sounds fantastic with the hose removed
  4. Danger of VTA on aftermarket Intakes?

It shouldn't hurt anything but you would have to measure the outlet tube then find a suitable filter and make sure it is secure enough that it won't get blown off and that the filter media won't get torn. A t-clamp should hold it on well enough, I'm not sure about the filter media as it will be...
  5. Danger of VTA on aftermarket Intakes?

I would say just make sure the plug on the intake is in place and remove the hose. I have done this for ~6000 miles with no issues. The only time the valve opens is when it is blowing air out so no need to worry about putting a filter in there to keep stuff from getting in.
  6. Local tuner for Cobb AP3

Has anyone had a local tuner dyno tune their EB Mustang? I have a friend who has used a local tuner to dyno tune his STi with a Cobb AP3 with good results. The guy has never tuned one of our cars though and I'm concerned about being the guinea pig vs going with someone like Adam at Tune+ or...
  7. Mishimoto Flash Sale Today Only - 40% Off All Mustang Parts

Maybe their site is only set to Eastern Standard Time? I didn't look to see you were in Cali before. I would think if you sent them an email they might be able to give you a one time discount code.
  8. Mishimoto Flash Sale Today Only - 40% Off All Mustang Parts

What do you mean? I bought mine yesterday with the discount. It didn't show up until it was in your cart.
  9. Mishimoto Flash Sale Today Only - 40% Off All Mustang Parts

Indeed, bought the black IC myself... what's one more trip to the doghouse?
  10. Clutch engagement question

How many miles are on the car? Does the slave cylinder share the same reservoir as the brakes? If so it could be easier to get air in the line if the fluid is getting low due to the brakes wearing down. On a side note I do have a pair of dress shoes that has a thicker sole than most of my other...
  11. MGW with Steeda trans mount insert

You can always drill a ~1" hole in the big flat part on the bottom of the bushing to alleviate the NVH issues. I drilled mine before I installed it so I don't know what it would have felt like originally but I don't feel like it added any harshness to the car.
  12. Sensor in rear differential?

Yeah, 2015 PP Ecoboost here definitely don't have it. I hadn't heard of over heating being a problem though... now it makes me worry a bit. Although if it's only a potential issue for the GTs I should be good for a few more mods at least :)
  13. Manual transmission swap?

I hate to be a downer but I think it will end up costing you at least $1k for a used transmission in questionable condition. This isn't counting the $100s in pedals, sensors, clutch, flywheel, and possible computer work. I really prefer the DIY approach to things but I honestly believe it will...
  14. DP or IC?

Granted I live in FL but I went intake then down pipe and exhaust first because I found "deals" on all of them. When the temp is 85-90 I can feel the timing being pulled due to pre detonation. This is on 93 octane. I strongly recommend either a tune or intercooler first followed by the downpipe...
  15. 0-60 Times

That makes sense. I had a 2005 S4 before this and the tune I got had launch control that brought the rpms up to 5k and held them, then when the you dumped the clutch would try to keep rpms around 3k but it was a NA V8 with all wheel drive so no need to worry about boost or traction... Just the...
  16. 0-60 Times

Isn't there launch control with the tune or is it not effective with full bolt ons?
  17. 0-60 Times

Intake temps definitely rise quickly. And it's normal for everything to be hot to the touch under the hood as well. Heck, even running the engine for 20-30 seconds is enough to get the turbo hot enough to burn you.
  18. Center stack separating from dashboard

Is it getting worse? I wonder if one of the clips didn't go in properly. If you are comfortable doing so I would pull that metal trim piece off to look behind it then reinstall and see if the gap is gone. I shouldn't take but 30 minutes, just start at the passenger side... or take it to the...
  19. Solo Performance Exhaust Pics & Vids

This isn't related to the install but I have noticed a little bit of drone with this exhaust. Mind you it's nowhere near what I've had from any car/exhaust system before but from 1900-2050 it is louder than any other engine range. Its's completely tolerable and I feel like calling it drone is...
  20. Solo Performance Exhaust Pics & Vids

Any chance you can take a picture under there? It was a bit of a pain to install but I only had to make one minute adjustment after it was installed.
