  1. Piece together a built motor?

Do the Ecoboost engines have trouble with spinning the crank pulley? I've only rarely heard of non supercharged cars needing to be pinned, and so far never on the Ecoboost mustangs.
  2. Oil Leak Issues

I remember a year or so ago someone saying their oil pressure sensor was not tight in their car and leaked but I don't recall any pictures. It was more a warning to check yours or tighten it. I can't imagine the dealer wouldn't have tried this but who knows. The sensor is the one just above the...
  3. Clutch gone after 7,000 miles - No Warranty

Wow, that clutch is demolished. Looks like they did clutch burnouts instead of tire burnouts. I do agree with going aftermarket although it's too late. Did they replace the flywheel too for that price? If so that's not too bad, otherwise ouch. Also after I installed the Whiteline transmission...
  4. Looking for just a little more top end pull.

I had intake and 3" turbo back exhaust on the car before it was tuned and I could feel the car pulling ignition every time I tried getting on it. It was not happy with the extra air flow. The results may be different with an axle back or cat back exhaust but then you wouldn't be getting the...
  5. Installed the Energy Suspension Bushing

I have the ecoboost with the steeda bracket and whiteline insert with no noticeable vibration. I did drill a 1" hole in the large flat part of the whiteline insert with a hole saw first to make sure I didn't have any issues. I'm not sure how if it would have been the same without doing so.
  6. I have NEVER had good gas mpg in my v6

My thoughts are that the idling is killing the MPGs. Even with the ecoboot if I've filled up within the past 20-30 miles I can see the MPG dropping just waiting for the gate to open for a minute or so. I couldn't imaging idling it for 20 minutes daily.
  7. 245/45R19 vs. P245/45ZR19 - both ok?

The tire with the higher speed rating is built with either tighter tolerances or better materials to allow it to handle higher speed/heat. If you are just commuting with your car either should be fine. The only reason I would go with the higher speed rating tire is if you drive...
  8. STEEDA NEW PART RELEASE - S550 CLUTCH ASSIST SPRING PERCH UPGRADE KIT

I'm assuming it has to do with the leverage of the pedal sets, but I suppose we'll see when Steeda responds.
  9. BMR Suspension S550 Mustang CB006 Front Chassis Brace - Final Product & Installation

Just installed this in my ecoboost. I had to adjust my downpipe slightly, I have a Solo Performance turbo back on the car, but other than that it was a fairly quick and easy install. I completely blame the fitment issue with my original install of the exhaust. It's not a night and day difference...
  10. Stock Turbo Rebuild Kit?

I think that by the time you are replacing compressor wheels it's beyond the scope of a typical rebuild. They normally consist of just seals and even then you have to mark the wheel to shaft position so that it stays in balance. I'm assuming since you're asking this question on a forum that you...
  11. Hardwiring Valentine One?

I didn't take pictures but I ended up cutting the electrode on my kit in half with some small wire cutters to get them to fit better. I haven't had an issue in over a year since doing so.
  12. Hardwiring Valentine One?

I used a small wire cutter and cut the electrode in half then they fit fine. I haven't had a problem in over a year. This is the kit I used: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JG5RHLK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  13. The right tool for the job

I use this impact gun and it will break them free http://www.harborfreight.com/air-tools/impact-wrenches/12-in-professional-air-impact-wrench-68424.html The regulator does have to be set to at least 90 psi though. I've never had a car that's had the lug nut torque spec at 150 ft lb. All my cars...
  14. bmr cb005 install question

I tried using the Steeda centering pins with BMR CB005 and they won't work together. I put the back two in then cut one in half to put in each of the front holes. If I put both in I could not finish installing the bracket so I only used one. Several months later I not have weird wear on one of...
  15. Steeda's S550 Ultra Lite Chassis Jacking Rails - Now Available

Looks like some fresh blue loctite in that pic.
  16. Steeda's S550 Ultra Lite Chassis Jacking Rails - Now Available

There shouldn't be any problem. The only thing the bolts really do is hold the rail to the car.
  17. Eco boost at idle stuttering

The way you added bold makes it seem like you think the engine is idling between 250 & 300 rpm which is impossible with this type of engine. I have a manual but I do notice my engine drop to 750 rpm when my foot is on the brake then go up to 1000 once released. It is a a bit rough but I have...
  18. Reommendation please for interior cleaning product?

I really like Einszett Cockpit Premium. Looks like the car rolled out of the showroom once done and it has a mild citrus smell that fades within a day or two. Looks like Amazon is having some issues though http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002Z2MZ4/ref=s9_al_bw_g263_i2
  19. Front Bumper Mounting Tab Needs a Repair

You could try plastic welding with a soldering iron and zip ties as well since it doesn't have to be pretty. My first choice would probably be model glue or super glue.
  20. Improve your aftermarket audio build starting point!

Hopefully I won't get in trouble for posting this link but would something like this allow me to flash the file you have to remove the processing from the base stereo? http://www.ebay.com/itm/141725612161?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
