I swapped mine out with Royal Purple 5w90. There's a sticker on mine that says 75w85 so I don't feel like I'm too far off. I didn't add friction modifier since the bottle said it already had some in it. Hopefully I don't mess up my diff.
I did this at ~1000 miles and the factory fill was pretty...
From the owners manual:
Your vehicle is equipped with a cabin air
filter. It is located behind the glove box.
I'm still about 17K miles shy of needing to do it at this point. I'm guessing there is some way to drop the glove box down. My wife's old Corolla had it behind the glove box and you...
There's always this article that has a good comparison between summer tires. It's about three years old but should still be relevant.

My money is on the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I had them on my S4 and will get them for this car once the PP tires are gone. They had amazing grip in the wet and dry. Installed at my local Discount Tire with the extra warranty it will be ~$1500 for the Ecoboost PP size.
The PP adds a torsen LSD as well which I don't think was mentioned. That would be a good chunk of money on its own. I ended up with the ecoboost PP after driving the base V6 and the PP ecoboost back to back. The PP is what sold me on the car I got. Not sure how it relates to the GT but a 5 mile...
We use a different measurement of Horsepower in the US than in Europe as indicated by the PS which designates Metric horsepower. It's a little bit smaller of a unit which leads to a higher rating. As far as the higher MPG it could be do to tuning and gears, or it could be due to different...
I'm interested to hear what they did. I just ordered Eraser Water Spot Remover from 3D professionals on Amazon so hopefully I will get to try it soon. Finals are coming up next week so I'm not sure how much free time I will have before then.
I'm interested to see what the detailer does. I have similar spots on mine in deep impact blue. I have clay bared the car, tried vinegar, as well as a dual action polisher with three different grades of rubbing compound and two different pads with very very minimal impact. I didn't want to keep...
The only way I would consider a GTI is on lease. I traded a 2005.5 Audi S4 for my ecoboost, the driving factor was multiple oil leaks and a deteriorating wiring harness. I bought the car with 80K and in the 30K miles I owned it I had to replace the front control arms due to the bushings being...
I would say wash clay bar, glaze, wax/sealant, detailer/spray wax. This is my game plan once I get the time... hopefully tomorrow. In particular Chemical Guys Blacklight and hybrid V7.
I've been using it... when it works on my base model... seems to perform worse than Pandora although I prefer Slackers algorithm. Have you noticed Slacker cuts out when the rear camera is active? It seems to happen every time for me :(
Has anyone seen test times with an ecoboost manual with PP? The only ones I've seen show auto with PP and base ecoboost with the base tires and rear end. I still think the 335 is a little bit faster, benefit of and extra two cylinders and .7 liters worth of displacement.
I've not actually come across one but I've seen reviews showing 1/4 mile times more in the low 13s with 105 MPH traps... I think you might have a chance if you have the performance pack vs a E93(vert) with auto but not the sedan or coupe. It would take us a couple of mods to beat one of those...
I guess I got lucky. I have a older craftsman and no need to hit the learn button on it.
And the part number to add this to the base trim level is fr3z-6304105-da at least for the black one, not sure if there are any other colors. Just pop the old one out and this one in. It uses the same...
