The number one thing that drove me to the ecoboost was the performance pack. If the V6 had that I likely would have ended up going that way.

Bummer. You haven't checked the pin outs for them to see if just one or two wires was changed have you? Not sure if they have a sticker on top with this info or if it has to be looked up online.

Not sure that you have the same cord that I do but I had to cut the pins in half with some wire cutters to get them to go far enough in the back of the holes in that plug. Yours might be a little smaller I can't quite tell from the photo.

The kits already installed I'm just not looking forward to programming the presets. And on top of my electrical engineering degree I installed car audio for a year or so in my late teens early twenties and trust myself more than any shop.

Honestly I'm still on the fence. The pain with a aftermarket unit is that the only space to put it appears to be behind the radio buttons, the cd slot is the top of the actual unit behind the dash so anything will be mid dash which would be a pain for viewing.
