That's not necessarily true. The steering wheel buttons are just that. If there is a unit that is already programmed to understand how those buttons work it doesn't matter if it has Sync at it's heart or not.

They won't sound worse with an amp hooked up to them but they are still paper and foam speakers that just don't have the rigidity that higher end composite speakers have. Without doing any testing myself I don't think that just upgrading the amp would do enough to make it worth all the wiring...

When I changed the fluid in the rear end of my EB PP the plugs were definitely magnetic. There was grey sludge stuck on both of them.

No smell but no catch can here. Have you had an oil change recently? There could have been some oil spilled under the engine cover around the oil fill hole that is heating up.

I think mine took almost two quarts for the Ecoboost PP. There are two plugs on the diff housing cover. One on the top to fill and one on the bottom to drain.
