I edited my post to show the runs uncorrected and I also swapped the dyno run I was using for the 10 speed car as the one I originally posted was done on the older dyno just hardware/software. Both of these runs were done on the current equipment, so pretty apples to apples. As I'm posting...
We have tons of baseline dyno runs for 350s and several 10 speed GT cars. I picked a couple of "average" results from both platforms and overlaid them. I did them in both RPM and wheel speed. Again trying to confidently say what actual crank HP from a chassis dyno is useless. Chassis dynos...
I agree. Comparing numbers across many different brand of dynos is useless. Every build we do starts with a baseline number so we know what each car makes on our dyno before and after. The gains you see are the only the only numbers that I would trust. We also went with dyno jet as you can't...
This is about the range we see on all of the baseline dyno runs on the GT350s. I will have to look back at some of the runs but I think we have seen a low of maybe 447-448 and a high of around 473-475 from what I recall. Most are somewhere around 460. I think it has more to do with the...
We might be able to run a shop car up there if our schedule ends up being clear that weekend. I will keep tabs on this thread and try to make it happen.
The factory gears are a cast piece, not billet. Some have seen the gears shatter which in turn will take our the engine. It seems to be more common on the cars that are boosted, so probably caused by the increased stress of the rpms coming up quicker. Others have ran stock opgs with not...
I spoke too soon, it hasn't been posted yet. The price will be around 14,999. This is what it will look like though:
Xona Rotor XR7868 W/Housing W/Fittings
Billet Merge Collector Heavy Wall SS Turbo Headers
Turbo Outlet V Band Clamps
Turbo Inlet V Band Clamps
Tial MVS Wastegates
Custom Air...
If your not going to try and make more than 800 hp, I will just do the OPG/CS and get on with it. You shouldn't see valve float or have to worry about lifting the heads at that power level. About the only way I would do the springs and head studs would be if I had the engine down out of the...
That is about as far as I would go without doing a full build. But honestly once you get into 4 digit power territory on stock engines you are on dangerous ground. We don't do valve springs until we are doing a full build. Our turbo kit design is super efficient so we don't experience the...
I was speaking in regards to keeping it flat plane. The 1000-1200 hp range can be done on somewhat of a budget I suppose on the coyotes, but it's still a lot of money. And at that point might as well spend a few more thousand and do it all. Otherwise it will cost you a lot more to do it all...
The only thing I would do to a stock voodoo engine would be oil pump gears. Anything beyond that starts with sleeving the block. Be prepared to spend some coin to do so.
HEP cars are by far my favorite. When I finally buy one it will most definitely be a HEP car(hopefully I can find a lemon buyback one!). I can't wait to finally turbo one....hint hint hint mk1spyder!!!!!! The only one we have came though so far got the 600R package. I have been a huge Shelby...
Most of the GT350s we turbo are under 1,000 miles. Many of which are only 100-200 miles. We have only done a few that have over 5k miles on them and maybe a couple with 10k plus. We have never had a stock engine let go on any of the 800R or 1000R builds. There seems to be a much worse...
Hey, sorry I don't get on here enough. I have stock intakes and filter boxes if you still need one. Since I let you down on time, if you pay for shipping it yours. Just send me your address and I will get it boxed up and freight figured out.
Andrew, our tank is slightly heavier than the stock plastic tank by 9.8 ounces. This wasn't listed as a weight saving option but rather more of an eye pleasing option. When the word light-weight was used in the item description it was intended to refer to the material used. "Made of...
Here is our setups we use. The single car Intech is used primarily for pickup and delivery of customers GT350 builds. The long ramps and side hatch make hauling these cars so nice. No more messing around with extra ramps and crawling out the drivers window! Whenever we have an event or race...
