When I'm talking about a bearing it's the spherical bearing in the camber plate itself not the thrust bearing on the spring seat.

Sounds like either a bad bearing or strut.

The only thing that can really make a clunking noise with a camber plate is the strut nut being loose, bad strut, or a spherical bearing that has play between the ball and the race. Precisely why we don't use off the shelf spherical bearings in any of our parts.
