They bought it at auction and the auction house lost the title. They had to order a new title. It was not disclosed to me that the title was lost when I bought the car. Now they have a new title but this whole ordeal cost them $1000 or so that they wanted from me, so we had a Mexican standoff...
It is a headache but my local dealer (not the one I purchased from who is still holding the title hostage) has been excellent with repairs and loaners.
Overall I love the car and It would take a big big headache for me to be too frustrated to keep it, every time I get mad I step back 10 ft and...
Yes. What a great era. The cars my dad and uncles owned could make up a museum. I am trying to carry the torch for my generation - only one in my family my age that can afford it these days unfortunately.
Without even watching it I can tell you it was the 427 L88(?) corvette. My uncle had one in green that he helped build personally working the line at GM. He took delivery of it as soon as it rolled off the assembly line, swapped on slicks he had brought in the back of his truck, and took it out...
electrical issue after electrical issue with mine. See my taillight post from last night. It’s been to the dealer no less than 5 times for warranty work on the wiring harness since I’ve had it for four months. Prior to my ownership it had the whole engine wiring harness replaced.
panel gaps and...
My electrical woes continue…Brake lights work, turn signals work, but the taillights are not on with the headlights. Anyone had this happen?
had someone completely flip out and road rage on me tonight because of it, unnecessary but it did bring the issue to my attention lol
I’ll preface this by stating that I too am just a white guy. But that’s crazy. Never even popped into my head. Maybe you could change it to BLK0UT? Tons of “wear all black” parties hosted by all manner of people are advertised with that spelling and I’ve never heard someone take issue with it
I love the black plates btw and will pay the $5 for one here once we get them next year. I will not be paying the $30/yr custom text fee though is what I meant.
can you just get the plate cheap without custom text? If not maybe “k0na20”
This is what I do. The jack points on this car are actually really solid. I just use a chunk of wood and my jack, then put jackstands in the little pocket at each jack point.
Get your ass under the car and drain the oil from the bottom like Henry ford intended. Lol. Seriously though this won’t get rid of the heavier sludge film that accumulates at the bottom of the oil pan. Whether that’s an issue for you depends on your level of OCD.
I use these on my boat in the...
Look into just an x-pipe with resonator then, I think maybe steeda makes one? I made my own using the ford performance x-pipe and two vibrant resonators. If loud is what you want you’ll get it, but keep your ability to go silent in quiet mode. It also lowers the tone, kills rasp, and sounds...
Completely agree. I will not be adding that proposed piece of rubber. My intake temps are only 4 degrees above ambient when moving even in 85+ degree heat. That tells me I don’t need to mess with it.
I change oil at 5-6000 miles in my charger hemi (full synthetic) and will do 3500-4000 miles in the mustang (should be about a years worth of driving for me. Full synthetic but on E85).
I look at it this way, on the hemi does it make sense to change every 4k with full synthetic? No. it’s a very...
